EOS rewards. Gold 3 opening 22 chest in Splinterlands. Is it worth it to rent the power for a few extra chests?
What is up yall Squirrelacus bringing you my first splinterlands post of the New Year. I hope this post finds you well. This is just me opening my EOS rewards that I got for finishing in Gold 3. I only have enough collection power for Silver 3. So I am always bargain shopping right before the season ends for the collection power I need to attain the rewards in Gold 3. Oh collection power the bane of my existence lol. I need the collection power genie to come drop like 4k collection power on me. Or just let me have some sick pulls from my EOS rewards.
So now the real question is it worth it paying for that collection power at the end of the season? Currently may answer would have to be a huge no. I have done it now two seasons back to back. And the amount I have to spend for the collection power far exceeds the value of the things I am getting in the 22 chests. This season we are currently in will be my last experiment in renting enough collection power to match my rating. Or at least that is what I am telling myself. We all know the allure of that jackpot chest just busting full of DEC that we all see pictures of in different discords. But honestly the past two seasons and most of my daily rewards have truly been lack luster. Here is to hoping this current season turns out far far better for me.

That must be painful renting that much power. Definitely doesn't feel worth it, with only three possible legendary cards. After chaos legion there is hope for adding some new reward cards, really exited about that, and maybe renting at end of season could be worth it one day. Until then, all we can do is gamble on packs instead of power for end of season chests.
End of season rewards are sort of a joke. Unless you are in diamond and opening 50+ chests lol. Even packs are a giant risk.
