A Splinterlands battle without any opponent? (2021.12.15)

I really do not understand this. What happened? Looks like @kaki97 submitted a "team" without any monsters. Was this a bug?

They timed out before picking anything other than summoner maybe and the UI didn't register it as a surrender?
