After more than one month of pause, I decided to play Splinterlands again (2022.10.12)
Splinterlands should have some kind of welcome back gift. Similarly to League of Legends: Wild Rift. Today, after more than one month of pause, I decided to play Splinterlands again. I successfully reached the Bronze II League after playing approximately for one hour.
I earned two season end chests and two focus chests so far. I do not expect good rewards at all, so this does not really matter. I know that playing Splinterlands is not worth it from the financial side nowadays (it was so much better in the past). Nowadays I play it rather to pass time, and anything I earn with it is a bonus.
My current max tier is the Bronze I, because I am still leasing out most of my Splinterlands cards. Currently I am playing with the base card set, and with a few delegated cards from other Splinterlands players.
I played 71 battles in this season so far, and I won 42 battles, so my current win rate is 59.15%. My current rank is 77 865, so I am currently within the top 100 000 players in the Bronze II League.
The current season ends in 2 days 14 hours 10 minutes. Maybe there will be good welcome back gifts (rewards) in the chests I earn, but as I wrote above, I do not expect good rewards at all.
I play Splinterlands mostly on the go to pass time. For example on the bus, or when I wait for the bus, etc. Currently I am in the bed in the night (02:00 CEST).
By the way, I played 9710 Wild Ranked battles so far, and I won 4971 battles, so my current total (all time) win rate is 51.19%. I am playing Splinterlands since 2018.12.30.

I tried playing the other day. It sucks. I can't win.
Splinterlands indeed became harder to play (more competitive) in the previous few months. Probably the more people play the game, the more competitive it is. Nowadays it is not easy to move up on the leagues. I feel lucky that I still win approximately the half of my battles.
It's nice to see you play the game and good luck on your rewards. The only significant changes are the Riftwatcher cards being added.

I read in this post from Splinterlands that "Riftwatchers cards are going to be a must-have for the higher mana cap battles", so probably the Riftwatchers cards makes the already hard (competitive) game even more hard (more competitive). Theoretically those, who have Riftwatchers cards have advantage over everyone else, who do not have Riftwatchers cards. We will see.
Yea I have noticed that some of them are annoying to fight but I am waiting for the prices to drop before I buy some for myself.

The bronze and silver leagues are hard to play and the rewards are small. For example, this post already gives 2.5 dollars, which is 250 cheap cards in chests.
I know. Nowadays I play Splinterlands rather to pass time, not for the rewards. It is also good to know that Splinterlands gave proper rewards in the past. I started playing it on 2018.12.30. Currently I am automatically leasing out most of Splinterlands cards on Splex.GG, so I still earn daily from the game, but not by playing.
