Splinterlands:One Blade, Multiple Bodies. The Executioner of Earth!
Good morning, Warriors! 🔥
The grind is picking up serious momentum on my end,and the best part is this:win or lose,I’m always learning something valuable. That mindset makes every battle awesome.
One ability I really admire in #Splinterlands is Execute. While some Archons like Kaylia Silverleaf can grant it through her Bloodline Dominion (specifically to all Elf units on your team),there are also monsters that come with this deadly ability built-in.
Today,I want to share an exciting battle featuring Thanalorian Blade. She truly proved herself as a ruthless Executioner!
Splinterlands is no walk in the park, but that's what amps up the excitement.A winning strategy weighs stats, abilities, rulesets, mana caps, and beyond. That's why you must factor them all into your deck building. Toss in strong cards to boost your setups, and push hard to rack up as many victories as possible! 🔥

FEATURED CARD
The Thanalorian Blade is an Epic Earth monster card, from the Rebellion Rewards edition. It is a soulbound reward card, meaning it was primarily earned through seasonal rewards rather than regular trading or packs.
It is not a low-mana staple but shines in mid-to-high mana battles (base mana cost 6) where its abilities can snowball fights.
Base Stats (Level 1)
Rarity: Epic (Earth)
Attack: Melee, 2 damage
Speed: 3
Armor: 1
Health: 5
Mana Cost: 6
Positioning: Can attack from any position due to its ability.
These stats make it a decently tanky melee unit for an Epic. The low base damage (2) is offset by its special abilities that allow it to strike multiple times or target priority threats. At max level, melee damage scales up to 4, making it a stronger hitter.

Key Abilities at max level (With Level Unlocks).
This is where the Thanalorian Blade becomes ruthless. Its kit focuses on opportunistic strikes and finishing blows:
Health 6,Armor 1,Attack 4,and Speed 3(At max).

At level 1 (Bronze) it gains Opportunity.
The monster can attack from any position in your lineup. It always targets the enemy monster with the lowest current health.
This makes it excellent for cleaning up damaged units or sniping fragile backline threats without needing to be in the front row.
It bypasses traditional positioning rules, adding flexibility in team composition.
At level 2 (Silver), it unlocks the Execute ability -the signature "ruthless" ability.
If the Thanalorian Blade successfully attacks a target and leaves it with 2 or fewer health remaining, it immediately performs another full attack on the same target.
This is a true finishing/execution mechanic. Combined with Opportunity, it can chain attacks on the weakest enemy, often deleting low-health monsters in one turn.
It shines against teams with many squishy or already-damaged units. Players frequently report game-changing "executions" that turn losing battles around by removing key enemy pieces rapidly.
At level 3(gold),it gains yet again another ability, Lookout
With this ability it pprovides defensive utility:
Adjacent friendly units take 1 less damage from attackers using Sneak, Snipe, or Opportunity.
All your units take half damage from Ambush effects while a Lookout unit is alive.
This turns the Blade into a supportive anchor for your team, protecting against sneaky or ranged harassment.
Lastly at max level(Champion/Diamond) it unlocks its final ability,Trample.
When the Thanalorian Blade kills its target with an attack, it immediately performs another attack on the next monster in the enemy lineup.
This creates devastating chains: Opportunity — low-health target—Execute finish—Trample into the next foe.It rewards aggressive play and can wipe multiple enemies in a single activation if health pools are low.
Synergy Note: The combination of Opportunity + Execute + Trample (at higher levels) makes the Thanalorian Blade a relentless finisher. It prioritizes weak targets, doubles down to kill them, and then tramples forward — embodying the "ruthless" playstyle.

Enjoy watching the EXECUTIONER in action!
In these two battles below, you’ll clearly see everything explained in the write-up above.
This is a 30 mana cost battle with no modifier.
Splinters are to be chosen from water, earth and life.
