THEME: SABRE SHARK

Edition: ALPHA/BETA
Rarity: COMMON
Element: WATER
ATTACK: MELEE
ABILITIES: Sneak at level 1

This is a monster that I used to like in the battlefield while I kept battling with water splinter as well but then I sold all my water monsters and summoners as I stopped playing with the water splinter. But having the "Sneak" ability, this monster can be a great asset in a battle. It's "Sneak" ability is what makes it far better and that ability unlocks at level 1 with 1 card.

Stats of SABRE SHARK.

Right now, my SABRE SHARK is in level 3 which offers me 2 melee attacks, 2 speed & 3 health with "Sneak" ability and it needs 3 mana to play.

  2. Tag splinterlands.
    • I just finished tagging splinterlands.
  3. Tell us about your lineup. Explain why you put each card in that position and why the SABRE SHARK is a good fit for the ruleset.
    • So, to explain my lineup... Why did I use the cards I did? And why in that order?
Yeah about that... In this match; I've played with dragon splinter with the water team using the CAMILA SUNGAZER summoner.
  4. Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?
    • Yeah, my strategy worked out perfectly and I'll try to use similar helpful monsters next time if I need to.
  5. Share your post to some OTHER Social Media site.
    • I'm going to share this post with the #splinterlands hashtag on Twitter after publishing this post.

A Brief Info About The Match

The battles mana cap was 24 with the "Healed Out" Rule where I used dragon splinter with the water team for the match and my opponent also used fire splinter against me.

My Lineup.

image.png

I had my Rusty Android in level 3, Manticore in level 2, Furious Chicken in level 2, Sabre Shark in level 3, Fire Spitter in level 2 & Centaur in level 3.

And my opponent had his/her cards as Living Lava in level 11, Magma Troll in level 1, Fire Elemental in level 1, Goblin Fireballer in level 1, Serpentine Spy in level 1 & Furious Chicken in level 1.

Let me talk about cards that I used in this battle.

Summoner: CAMILA SUNGAZER (LEGENDARY Dragon Summoner) - as summoner.

It is said that Camila Sungazer received her summoning abilities from visions wrought by staring day after day at the noon sun for her entire life. She is, of course, completely blind from staring at the sun, but her magic is most impressive - Source.

This is the first legendary summoner that I added to my deck.
I only had rare summoners before and then I was searching for some nice cards that have bigger DEC as burning price as I was and am still looking for unlocking new leagues that need many more collections more.

This summoner seemed a perfect one so I bought some for it and made it level 3 at first but now I'm using it in level 1.
She offers -1 melee attack to all enemy melee monsters.
She needs 3 mana for battle.

No 01: Rusty Android (Common Neutral Monster)

Let me say my very first expression about this monster when it came live.
It was almost the beginning of reward edition cards and I was seeing everyone getting this rusty android and I was looking to get one/some as I liked its appearance and I was somehow new to splinterlands at that time with s little knowledge about this game.

Then I've found my first Rusty Android one day in a quest reward and as far as I remember I even published a post saying "I got my first Rusty Android".

Then I played some battles with this monster but I didn't like it on the battlefield so I stopped playing with it and thus the love turned into hatred.

It's a melee attacker with a special ability: Magic Reflect at level 1.
For this ability, magic attack monsters of the opponent team should think twice before hitting it as they'll likely get a reflected shot.

My RUSTY ANDROID is in level 3 with 2 melee attack, 2 speed, 7 health with "Magic Reflect" ability.
It needs 6 mana.

No 02: Manticore (Epic Dragon Monster)

Manticore is one of my favorite monsters in dragon splinter. I can't think of any other melee attacker with "Reach" ability than Manticore. when I play with dragon splinter.

My Manticore is in level 2 with 2 melee attack, 3 speed, 6 health with "Flying & Reach" ability and it needs 4 mana to play.

Go on check out this card from Splinterlands Market if you wish to.

No 03: Furious Chicken (Rare Neutral Monster)

This is the card that I use when there's a slot left but no mana left. I mean it's service is great for free I suppose. Right now... I can't imagine playing a match without this card.
It's like the chicken that lays the golden egg. It provides great support with its counter attack. With 0 mana... it's just amazing.

My Furious Chicken is in level 2 with 1 speed, 1 health and It needs 0 mana to play.

Go on check out this card from Splinterlands Market if you wish to.

No 04: Sabre Shark (Common Water Monster)

This is a monster that I used to like in the battlefield while I kept battling with water splinter as well but then I sold all my water monsters and summoners as I stopped playing with the water splinter. But having the "Sneak" ability, this monster can be a great asset in a battle. It's "Sneak" ability is what makes it far better and that ability unlocks at level 1 with 1 card.

My Sabre Shark is in level 3 with 2 melee attacks 2 speed, 3 health with "Sneak" ability and It needs 3 mana to play.

Go on check out this card from Splinterlands Market if you wish to.

No 05: FIRE SPITTER (EPIC Dragon Monster)

This monster reminds me of a pokemon character for it's visual. I'm kinda sure that there's a character just like this one in pokemon or there was one when I was a kid ;). This is a very helpful monster of dragon splinter.

I used my FIRE SPITTER is in level 2 with 2 ranged attacks, 4 speed, 5 health with "Flying" ability and it needs 4 mana to play.

Go on check out this card from Splinterlands Market if you wish to.

No 06: CENTAUR COMMON Neutral Monster)

This is the monster that I abandoned long-ago thinking this is not that helpful for a battle although I used to like it very much at the beginning.
The problem at the beginning was that I didn't understand the rules of the game back then and I thought a monster is helpful when I saw it attacking without getting hit and a monster is not helpful that only gets hit.
But I didn't understand why a monster kept getting hit and probably that's why I dumped a lot of monsters that I liked and this one is one of em.

Right now I have a nice feeling about this monster as I know it has nice powers and with the nice rule and proper position, it can do better.

My Centaur is in level 3 with 1 melee attack, 4 speed & 5 health with "Snipe" ability.
It needs 10 mana to play.

Go on check out this card from Splinterlands Market if you wish to.

  • In my personal opinion... SABRE SHARK is a fantastic fit for the ruleset and at a higher level, it's just an awesome one when it gets its full power.

On the battlefield.

image.png

For the special ability of my summoner, all opponent monsters with melee attack higher than 1, lost 1 melee attack each and the opponent had two monsters that lost 1 melee attack each. The formation of the opponent team seemed hard.

image.png

My Sabre Shark had its eyes on the last monsters of the opponent team and it was doing nicely in attacking those monsters with 2 melee attacks while the fire elemental of the opponent team was attacking double with its blast ability and my Centaur had his eyes on the fire elemental of the opponent team and successfully killed it before it went too far.

image.png

Monsters from both teams kept dying but my team was doing better. And at last, the Sabre Shark of my team came to the front and killed the last monster with its 2 melee attack and became the man of the match.

The battle got finished at the end of round 4 while my team still had 3 monsters alive. I didn't think I'd win such a great battle.

It was indeed a fantastic battle that my team fought.
