Another spectacular day at splinterlands and I hope you all are trying your best to reach your desired tiers and leaderboard sopts. Only 4 days left for this current season to end I am trying my best to reach leaderboard with panda and red dog account. This season i choose to play in Champion tier with my own mango-juice as it is not doing well in diamond leaderboard.

Now, let me now come back to my today's battle post! I missed the Scavenger battle post lately so today, as I have got some time in hand, let me reintroduce you the mighty 3 mana scavenger card - Screeching Vulture, the mighty opportunist melee card from the the earth realm!

Screeching Vulture is comparatively a newly added reward card of splinterlands the cames with both normal and gold foil. This 3 mana card belongs to the earth section and has been extensively used by me in battlefield. This is a pretty new card but obviously a must-have melee monster in whole melee section as well because of his decent mana cost but with a big melee attack that comes with awesome scavenger and opportunity abilities! This furious flying monster is packed with such 3 melee attack, 4 health with 5 speed with scavenger, flying and opportunity which becomes very reliable in many certain situations, especially in little leagues or low to medium mana ruleset matches. So, If you want something useful like this which will not only help you take down the low health enemies with opportunity attack before going down but as the same time will gain health everytime a monster dies in battlefield. Because of his strong melee attack and abilities, the Screeching Vulture can be your best friend!

Now, talking about Screeching Vulture , luckily I do own a level 10 card of this fantastic in non gold reward edition! I bought this card approx 2 months back. So, I will be using my max level Screeching Vulture for the sake of today's battle post.

When it comes to using Screeching Vulture in battles, I often use it a with wizard of eastwood or Daria Dragonscale summoner as it delivers me great offensive stance at 3 mana cost. It's high powered melee attack with opportunity sometimes take down very powerful low health enemies in one shot, and I saw it every now and then. So, I will be sharing the battle from my main account mango-juice.

Before moving on, let us first see what's being written in the book of Splinterlore about this angry bird!

Will the screeching never cease? Not if you’re living in the foothills of the Seed Mountains of Anumün. The place is so teeming with life that death is quite widespread as well. If it weren’t for the diligent work of the Vultures, rotting carcasses would be everywhere. When a beast goes down for the last time, the Vultures know instantly, as if by some magical perception. They always approach the carrion with just the right number of Vultures. The screeching is simply the delighted noise they make while they’re ripping into flesh. When summoned to battle, these hook-beaked buzzards will also go after the living.

For this reward edition card, Right now there is currently one max level Screeching Vulture available at the market listing at 80$, costing 0.16$/bcx and total 73,039.350 DEC. However, there are also some high-level Screeching Vulture available at slightly higher prices and The single ones are available starting at 0.16$ and will cost you 145.166 DEC as per the current rate.

Level 1 - In its initial level, it carries 1 melee attack with 2 health and 2 speed. It brings flying and opportunity ability at the initial level with it.
Level 3 - At level 3, it carries 1 melee attack at 3 speed and 3 health.
Level 7 - At the 7th level, It possesses 2 melee attack with 2 health at 5 speed. It also brings scavenger ability at the sixth level with it.
Level 10 - At the maximum level, It possesses 3 melee attack with 4 health at 5 speed.

- Stampede The trample ability will cycle multiple times per attack.
- Healed Out No monsters can be healed in any way.

`Line-Up`

This time I get a small 19 mana match to prove myself and the worth of Screeching Vulture. This time, there were 4 splinters available to choose from and this time I choose to Wizard of Eastwood to weaken any shielded defense. I could choose Tyrus Palladium with +2 shields, but I preferred to go with Screeching Vulture and opportunity gang in this battle with also including ram and Parasitic growth in this match. Below is my lineup in detail.

`FAILED SUMMONER`

I chose FAILED SUMMONER in the first place because of its 2 mana cost that comes with great defensive stats and abilities - they are Magic Reflect, Demoralize and Strengthen. I am using a level 10 and it has 0 attack at 2 speed and 9 health.

`ORC SERGEANT`

I chose ORC SERGEANT in the second place because of its decent melee attack at high speed with Reach and inspire ability at only 5 mana cost. I have a level 10 and it has 3 melee attack at 4 speed and 8 health.

`BATTERING RAM`

I chose BATTERING RAM in the third place because of its decent 2 mana cost with opportunity and shatter ability. I have a level 10 and it has 2 melee attack at 5 speed and 3 health.

`SCREECHING VULTURE`

I chose SCREECHING VULTURE in the fourth place because of its high melee attack at 3 mana cost with opportunity, flying and scavenger ability. I have a level 10 currently and it has 3 melee attack at 5 speed and 4 health.

`PARASITIC GROWTH`

I chose PARASITIC GROWTH in the fifth place because of its opportunity attack at high speed at only 4 mana cost. I have a level 10 and it has 3 melee attack at 3 speed and 5 health.

`FURIOUS CHICKEN`

I placed FURIOUS CHICKEN in the last place just because of its 0 mana cost and nothing else XD. I have a level 3 and it has 0 attack at 1 speed and 1 health. This is Mainly to protect the last position and soak up one attack from enemies before going down. As it is a blast, hopefully my chicken will die the first round if opponent uses a sneak or opportunity monster.

Battle Result

No doubt it was about to be an unpredictable match, as guessing what my opponent will use was a pain for me. I was quite sure that my opponent will use Life summoner palladium with his + 1 shield ability and I may lose to him because for having shield, his monsters will tolerate more blast damages than mine before going down.

But this time I went with a opportunity strategy! I focused on both my attack power and speed so that I can lunch more attacks before my opponents even starts! When the lineup got revealed, I found out that he used the fire summoner Malric Inferno on me and the seeing so many max gold cards againt me, I almost got fainted!

First, let us follow the opponent's line-up...

My opponent @cyguy used beta Fire summoner malric Inferno against me.
At the front position, he used Living Lava level 8.
At the second position, he puts Furious Chicken level 3.
At the third he used Flame Monkey lev 10.
At the fourth position, he puts Elvin Cutthroat level 10.
At the fifth position, he puts Serpentine Soldier level 10.
At the sixth position, he puts Kobold Miner level 10.

My oppoent's deck was mainly focused on my front and nack position as his 2 out of 4 melee monsters were attacking my back while the sneak assassin was after my small health cards. But due to having high speed monsters Screeching vulture and Battering ram, further given more melee attack by the Orc, they were super charged from the begin of match and easily beat down opponent's monsters one by one.

But, the main hero of this match is obviously Screeching Vulture who stood still really long thanks to his scavenger ability which helped him to gain more and more health every time a monster dies in the match. I chose 3 opportunity monsters in this game so that they focus on one particular monster until its dead and that strategy worked perfectly in this match. I really enjoyed this game play and I hope you too. My opponent @cyguy really played great! I face him often on the battlefield and his line ups are great as always!
