Welcome to another Amazing Battle analysis!

We study a Wild format, Gold Foil, and Max League tournament match this time.

Our opponent this round is @zagorlord from the Shield of Glory guild.

Rules:

Tis but scratches (All monsters have the Cripple ability) and Aim True (Attacks always hit their target).

This time around, we use Thaddius Brood.

As this is a low mana battle, the -1 health can help our sneakers to one-shot enemy monsters if our opponent doesn’t have a sturdy backline. And the -1 magic to all team helps our cards last a little longer.

Our team:

Cursed Slimeball (Redemption), Undead Priest (Weaken and Slow), Skeleton Assassin (Sneak and Poison), Elven Cutthroat (sneak), Undead Badger (sneak), and closing with Corpse Fiend (Silence).

Let’s see, we have the double weaken plus frontline redemption card to wipe all 1 hp monsters in one go, and our team’s damage is focused on the backline with three total sneak monsters.

Let’s see if our opponents come prepared for this kind of strategy!

Let’s take a look at the opposing team.

Summoner: Lorna Shine (All the teams get divine shield).

A nice blind counter to our weaken-redemption strategy, Divine Shield will protect the weakened monsters from the slimeball explosion.

Opposing lineup:

Crystal Jaguar (Thorns and Retaliate), Pelacor Conjurer (Flying, Magic Reflect, Phase, and Flying), Battering Ram (Opportunity and Shatter), Dax Paragon (Amplify and Affliction), Celestial Harpy (Flying, Opportunity and authentic Strike) and closing with Soul fiend.

So our opponent goes for an opportunistic strategy, targeting the lowest HP in our team. Luckily for our team, his back row isn’t the most durable.

Still, the divine shield will give his monsters some extra durability. Let's see what happens on the battlefield!

Let’s go into the action to see how this battle plays out!

Click on the image below to watch the fight:

Round 1:

Our fast sneakers start working on the opposing backline, offing the Soul Fiend fast and removing the divine shield on the Harpy and crippling it.

Our slimeball bomb goes off, not before removing the divine protection on the Jaguar and getting a cripple shot.

All remaining shields come off with the explosion, and the Harpy stands with 1 HP left.

Round 2:

The opposing backline starts to crumble due to the combined might of our 3 sneakers, the Harpy, Dax Paragon, and Battering Ram, fall. We get no casualties this round! Woohoo.

Round 3:

Our sneak team finishes the backline, and the Undead Priest gets the coup de grace on the enemy team.

Our strategy was potent here. Our opponent didn’t have a solid backline to stand all the damage from the sneak monsters.

And also, due to the high initiative of our team, the opposing opportunistic monsters didn’t have the chance to make a real dent in our DPS.

Also, the weaken-redemption combo helped nullify the bonus from the opposing summoner.

These low mana matches must be wary of sneak and opportunistic strategies as they are very effective against low-cost, low HP cards.

Thanks for reading this analysis, and see you next time!

I find in cripple ruleset, focusing your firepower (sneak in this case) is crucial. Also making sure each of your cards does at least 1 attack.
Good game.

@zagorlord is my guild leader, and comrade, so I kinda feel like I should challenge you to a duel or something for putting his head on a pike and waiving it around like this. 😁
