My Splinterlands Update

As maybe some of you know, I've been pretty bullish on Splinterlands for awhile. I'm not the world's best gamer, let alone have I been any good at most video games in my life, but I do like to dabble. And Splinterlands, thanks to a few other old EOS friends on Lumeos, was something that was recommended to me to check out. Well, I've been hooked since I started the game roughly a year ago.

I've invested a little bit of cash into the game; nothing too crazy, but I have bought packs in the past, as well as put a bit into the current land sale. I"m not sure how that will all play out, but I'm game to support the development team and the game's ecosystem.

With all that said and thanks to an idea by @clove71, I thought I'd start sharing a weekly summary of how well I'm doing in the game...similar to something I've been doing with my DCity results. So here is the first weekly summary I put together on my game's progress; you can take a look at it to see what I'm doing right, what I'm doing wrong, and how much money I'm currently generating at the game. (And thanks @clove71 again for the idea !)

First and foremost, I typically compete in the daily challenges. I haven't explored tournament play yet, or the renting out cards/selling cards for income; my sole basis of asset accumulation is through the completing of daily challenges.

Last week, cards earned through daily challenge completion looked as such:

Both charts I'll continue to trend over time for review over the coming months. I'm more of a slow and steady investor with most things in life, and have been approaching Splinterlands in the same fashion.

Finally, here is my sum total change, day over day, based on the market value of DEC and USD of the collection:

The biggest impact of dollar change was getting the Byzatine Kitty through an airdrop. So far, so good...it seems to be a nice Summoner at this point.
