Hello all Hivers and Splinterlands friends, the subject of @steemmonsters weekly challenge is Supply Runner. A neutral element card. Let's take a closer look at it.

THE CARD

I must admit that the Splinterlands Lore for this card is very, very well done, goes into many details and leaves nothing to chance. In order not to copy/paste the Lore written by others, I am trying to write my own Lore for the cards in the Share Your Battle Challenge. In this particular case I have to say that it is not very easy so I decided to try another experiment. Based on the Lore of the card I want to tell the story of the battle played for the challenge. Let me explain: I want to write the story of the battle based on information from the Lore of Supply Runner (who is basically a gnome who brings supplies and defends against enemy attacks). So basically I'm going to narrate the battle as if it were a passage from a novel. I think it's a good thing to do, let me know if you like it.

The Story of the Battle

General Sloan, one of the most valiant commanders, was told to take the hidden treasures of a young Lord of Praetoria from where he hid them to a new hiding place. The reason for moving the treasure was simple, raids by fire marauders were now a daily occurrence and the lords were tired of having their possessions stolen. For his part, General Sloan was well aware that he could not cope alone with his Life-world counters. Having decided to hire a gnome, he knew what he was up against. The two agencies that hired gnomes had been clear with him: do not leave Praetoria. The cost of hiring them was very high, but then again, gnomes are really quite valuable if you want to defend a load of DECs. Of course, they are also dangerous and unstable. They are malicious, especially when they start drinking beer, of which they are very fond. They love chaos and will do anything to get a bit of a buzz. That said, the contract was signed and the team was assembled. In the front line General Sloan called in Djinn Renova, he didn't want a badass soldier in double armour who would stand in front of everyone and start taking all the opposing shots. Sloan wanted a Djinn, he fucking wanted her. With that said he started preparing his magic bows to give to his contingent for the expedition and carefully chose his fighters. The formation was thus completed by Gargoya Devil, Mantoid, Supply Runner, Pelacor Arbalest and Lone Boatman. A river had to be crossed, so who better to do it than Lone Boatman? No one. The gang assembled at 6 a.m. sharp and, loading the treasures, set off. On the boat it was very difficult to keep the gnome at bay, gosh he was really restless. So Sloan to calm him down promised everyone that if the expedition went well he would take them to a pub in Praetoria to drink beer. Silence suddenly reigned.
When they crossed the river everything seemed to be going well, but suddenly Sloan and his men were taken by surprise by Pyro and his henchmen. Pyro did not hesitate for a moment and in a flash surrounded Sloan and his team.
"Give me the treasure," Pyro shouted, "or I'll show you what we're made of, you stupid archers."
Sloan did not show a thread of fear. "Stop it, Pyro!" thundered the general. "Let us pass, we don't have time for this nonsense," he continued, "we have a task to complete, if you think I'm going to hand over the treasure without trying to defend it at the cost of our own lives, you are sorely mistaken!"
An evil grin came out of Pyro's mouth and the two formations prepared for battle.

(Since the post would be too much but too long, I decided to cut the story of the battle here and repost it for the next Social Media Challenge, continuing just to tell the story of the event, let me know if you like the idea).

THE DEPLOYMENT

THE RULES OF COMBAT

Mana cap for battle set at 42 points. Only cards from the splinters can be used: Fire, Life, Death and Dragon.

LIMITATIONS: Armored Up (all monsters gain +2 armor); Keep Your Distance (monsters with Meele Attack cannot be deployed in battle).

MY DEPLOYMENT

Summoner of the Life element. Cost in mana of 4 points. Has the ability to increase Ranged Attack by 1 point to all my fielded monsters.

Life Element Tank. Cost in mana 7 points. 2 Magic Attack points, 2 Speed points, 0 Armour points and 6 Life points. Skill: Strengthen (all allied monsters have increased health)

Cost in mana of 7 points, 2 points Ranged Attack, 2 points Speed, 1 point Armour and 3 points Life. Skills: can fly and can also attack from the first position even if he has a bow.

Cost in mana 6 points. Ranged Attack 2 point, 2 speed points and 5 Life points. Can attack with the Blast skill.

Cost in mana 6 points. 2 point Ranged Attack, 3 points Speed and 5 points Life.

Cost in Mana 6 points. 2 points Ranged Attack, 2 points Speed and 3 points Life. Skill: Can attack twice each round.

Cost in mana 5 points. 2 Ranged Attack points, 2 Speed points, 1 armour point and 3 Health points. Can attack thanks to his Blast Skill. Good for covering the rear.

MY STRATEGY

Let's look at it point by point:

• Using General Sloan allows me to have + 1 on all monsters with Ranged Attack.
• I chose Djinn Renova as my tank because I couldn't use monsters with Meele Attack, so I preferred to deploy a monster with Magic Attack rather than Gargoya Devil (one of the few monsters with Ranged Attack that can also attack from the first position). Gargoya Devil in fact I placed him in second position, this is because I foresaw Djinn Renova falling and therefore I didn't want to be discovered in first position with a monster that couldn't attack.
• Besides Gargoya Devil, I chose 4 other monsters with Ranged Attack to take full advantage of the power and +1 of General Sloan.
• Then followed Mantoid, Supply Runner and Pelacor Arbalest which can attack twice per round and its power becomes 3 Ranged Attack thanks to Sloan.
• In closing I needed someone to take at least 2 hits to protect my archers, Lone Boatman with his armour guaranteed this.

DID MY STRATEGY WORK?

I would say so! My strategy worked great. General Sloan's bonus was instrumental in winning the Battle. Djinn Renova held out and when he fell, Gargoya Devil took his place, as planned. The rear ensured a shower of arrows rained down on the opponents. Pelacor Arbalest with his 2 attacks per round shattered shields and eliminated lives. Lone Boatman protected my archers. Supply Runner as a good evil gnome made his valuable contribution to the battle, staying alive to the last and bringing home the result!

LA CARTA

Devo ammettere che la Lore di Splinterlands per quanto riguarda questa carta è fatta molto ma molto bene, scende in molti particolari e non lascia nulla al caso. Per non fare copia/incolla della Lore scritta da altri, sto provando a scrivere la mia Lore per le carte oggetto della Share Your Battle Challenge. In questo particolare caso devo dire che non è molto semplice per cui ho deciso di provare a fare un altro esperimento. Basandomi sulla Lore della carta voglio raccontare la storia della battaglia giocata per la challenge. Mi spiego meglio: voglio scrivere il racconto della battaglia basandomi sulle informazioni della Lore di Supply Runner ( che fondamentalmente è uno gnomo che porta rifornimenti eli difende dagli attacchi avversari). Per cui in sostanza racconterò la battaglia fatta come se fosse un passo di un romanzo. Credo sia una bella cosa da fare, fatemi sapere se vi piace.

La Storia della Battaglia

General Sloan, uno tra i comandanti più valorosi, ricevette la notizia di portare in salvo i tesori nascosti di un giovane Signore di Praetoria da luogo dove esso li nascondeva a un nuovo nascondiglio. Il motivo dello spostamento del tesoro era semplice, scorribande di predoni del fuoco avvenivano ormai giornalmente e i signori erano stanchi di vedersi sottratti i loro averi. Dal canto suo, General Sloan sapeva bene che non poteva farcela da solo con i suoi contarranei del mondo della Vita. Deciso così di assumere uno gnomo, sapeva bene a cosa andava in contro. Le due agenzie che fittavano gnomi erano state chiare con lui: non lasciare Praetoria. Il costo per l'assunzione era molto alto ma d'altronde gli gnomi sono davvero davvero preziosi se si vuole difendere un carico di DEC. Certo, sono anche pericolosi e instabili. Sono maligni, soprattutto quando iniziano a bere birra di cui sono molto amanti. Amano il caos e farebbero di tutto per fare un pò di baldoria. Detto ciò, il contratto fu firmato e la squadra fu composta. In prima linea General Sloan chiamò in causa Djinn Renova, non voleva un soldato cazzuto con doppia armatura che si mettesse di fronte a tutti e iniziasse a prendere tutti i colpi avversari. Sloan voleva una Djinn, cazzo se la voleva. Dettò ciò iniziò a preparare i suoi archi magici da dare al suo contingente per la spedizione e scelse con cura i suoi combattenti. La formazione fu così completata da Gargoya Devil, Mantoid, Supply Runner, Pelacor Arbalest e Lone Boatman. Serviva attraversare un fiume, quindi chi meglio di Lone Boatman sapeva farlo? Nessuno. La combriccola si riunì alle 6 a.m. in punto e, caricati i tesori, partì. Sulla barca fu molto difficile tenere a bada lo gnomo, caspita era davvero irrequieto. Così Sloan per farlo calmare promise a tutti che se la spedizione fosse andata bene li avrebbe portati a bere Birra in un pub di Praetoria. Il silenzio regnò improvvisamente.
Attraversato il fiume tutto sembrava andare per il verso giusto ma all'improvviso Sloan e i suoi uomini furono colti di sorpresa da Pyro e i suoi scagnozzi. Pyro non esitò un attimo e in un battibaleno circondò Sloan con i la sua squadra.
"Dammi il tesoro" urlò Pyro, "oppure ti faccio vedere di che pasta siamo fatti, stupidi arcieri".
Sloan non mostrò un filo di paura. "smettila, Pyro!" tuonò il generale. "facci passare, non abbiamo tempo per queste cavolate" continuò, "abbiamo un compito da portare a termine, se credi che io ti consegni il tesoro senza provare a difenderlo a costò della nostra stessa vita ti sbagli di grosso!"
Un ghigno malefico uscì dalla bocca di Pyro e le due formazioni si prepararono alla battaglia.

( siccome il post verrebbe troppo ma troppo lungo ho deciso di tagliare qui il racconto della battaglia e riproporlo per il prossimo Social Media Challenge continuando appunto a raccontare l'evento, fatemi sapere se vi piace l'idea).

LO SCHIERAMENTO

LE REGOLE DEL COMBATTIMENTO

Limite Mana cap per la battaglia fissato a 42 punti. Possibilità di utilizzare soltanto carte degli splinter: Fuoco,Vita, Morte e Drago.

LIMITAZIONI: Armored Up ( tutti i mostri guadagnano un +2 armatura); Keep Your Distance ( i mostri con Meele Attack non possono essere schierati in battaglia).

IL MIO SCHIERAMENTO

Summoner dell'elemento Vita. Costo in mana di 4 punti. Ha l'abilità di aumentare di 1 punto Ranged Attack a tutti i miei mostri schierati in campo.

Tank dell'elemento Vita. Costo in mana 7 punti. 2 punti Magic Attack, 2 punti Velocità, 0 punti Armatura e 6 punti Vita. Abilità: Rafforzare ( tutti i mostri alleati hanno salute aumentata)

Costo in mana di 7 punti, 2 punti Ranged Attack, 2 punti Velocità, 1 punto Armatura e 3 punti vita. Abilità: sa volare e inoltre può attaccare dalla prima posizione anche se ha un arco.

Costo in mana 6 punti. Ranged Attack 2 punto, 2 punti velocità e 5 punti Vita. Può attaccare, grazie all'abilità Blast.

Costo in mana 6 punti. 2 punto Ranged Attack, 3 punti Velocità e 5 punti Vita.

Costo in Mana 6 punti. 2 punti Ranged Attack, 2 punto Velocità e 3 punti Vita. Abilità: può attaccare due volte ogni round.

Costo in mana 5 punti. 2 punti Ranged Attack, 2 punti Velocità, 1 punto armatura e 3 punti vita. Può attaccare grazie alla sua Abilità Blast. Ottimo per coprire le retrovie.

LA MIA STRATEGIA

Vediamola punto per punto:

• Usare General Sloan mi permette di avere un + 1 su tutti i mostri con Ranged Attack.
• Ho scelto come tank Djinn Renova perchè non potendo utilizzare mostri con Meele Attack ho preferito schierare in prima posizione un mostro con Magic Attack piuttosto che Gargoya Devil ( uno dei pochi che avendo Ranged Attack può attaccare anche dalla prima posizione). Gargoya Devil appunto l'ho inserito in seconda posizione, questo perchè ho previsto la caduta di Djinn Renova e quindi non volevo essere scoperto in prima posizione con un mostro che non avrebbe potuto attaccare.
• Oltre Gargoya Devil, ho scelto altri 4 mostri con Ranged Attack per sfruttare appieno la potenza e il +1 di General Sloan.
• Seguono quindi Mantoid, Supply Runner e Pelacor Arbalest che può attaccare due volte a round e la sua potenza diventa 3 Ranged Attack grazie a Sloan.
• In chiusura mi serviva qualcuno che incassasse almeno 2 colpi per proteggere i miei arcieri, Lone Boatman con la sua armatura mi garantiva questo.

LA MIA STRATEGIA HA FUNZIONATO?

Direi proprio di si! La mia strategia ha funzionato alla grande. Il bonus di General Sloan è stato determinante per la vittoria della Battaglia. Djinn Renova ha resistito e al momento della sua caduta Gargoya Devil ha preso il suo posto, come da programma. Le retrovie hanno garantito una pioggia di frecce che si sono scagliate sugli avversari. Pelacor Arbalest con i suoi 2 attacchi a round ha infranto scudi e eliminato vite. Lone Boatman ha protetto i miei arcieri. Supply Runner da buon gnomo malefico ha dato il suo prezioso contributo alla battaglia, rimanendo vivo fino all'ultimo e portando a casa il risultato!
