Budget: Cut Your Coat According To Your Cloth

Hello friends.

I have been away since October and that's like three months. Already, it looks like I have beennout from the world and now getting back on the Hive blockchain is looking like starting all over again. Well, it's good to be back.

Taking about celebration and the yuletide season, I have to be sincere to myself and to the world in general.
First, the yuletide comes with a lot of pressure to purchase one item or the other from what one has been saving from the beginning of the year. It is really a highly t nse period to decide whether to buy somethings or skip till another time.

Some stuff however must be in place to have a beautiful celebration with your family.

For instance, there is need to settle the children new clothes and shoes and also buy enough food items for special delicacies that would keep body and soul together.

Budgeting Is Highly Important

Since there is a general decline in the value of our local currency, the cost of clothes and other valuables have been on the rise.
Hence, I want to call this my budget a name that soothes the times and situation we find ourselves. So, I will call it a budget of Cut Your Coat According To your Cloth.

All that will need to be made available will be sorted. Stuffs like wines, fuel to run constant power supply to kill boredom, chicken (very important) and an arrangement to visit the amusement park or beach to have fun. The children would like that.

I think that this is enough to have a beautiful yuletide season.

The issue of buying ready made clothes or sewing some senator stock material is what we considered. My wife and I made it a point of duty to buy the clothes for the children in November, knowing that the cost would probably double when it's December. We gladly did. We had the opportunity to select some of the most trending attires for the children and when we shared it with them, they were super glad that they got it.

Recently, one of our neighbours who is involved in selling rice told us to stock before December because the cost of commodity may increase by 30% in December. So, we bought all the rice for th house and in-laws in November when a bag of rice cost less that #60,000 (sixty thousand naira).

My family will be traveling to the east immediately after Christmas but I will stay back because of work. We have also arrange all that. Their convenience for the journey to the east to and fro, their stay and all that will be needed throughout the period.

I feel that we had it all planned out. The moment when I got to know that I will not be available for the journey and all my family including my aged mother and siblings will be travelling, we settled and made sure everyone is on th same page.

The children have not been to the east since the covid-19 lockdown and now is not to deprive them the privilege of seeing what our original home has become with their cousins.

For me, I will be spending much more but it is worth it. If for nothing, at least, my wife and children will visit my source and feel the eastern morning harmattan. The village square where all the traditional market and dance and masquerade dance will take place. It will be a jolly nice experience all together.
