I have to say I wasnt gonna participate this week because today was the intended day for posting this but unfortunately we have power cut since morning and my phone have barely some charge to post this right now. I since I finished it i decided to post it anyway haha. I hope my phone don't turn off while I write this xd.

First of all, I found a nice pose from Pinterest for lighting formation. I made a rough sketch based on this pose. As you can see the official artwork for this card is incomplete so I had to improvise. As usual, after making the rough sketch I imported it to ibis paint app and made clean line art. Then I painted the base layer of colours in there. The source of light was from below so I painted each layer according to that and adjusted the brightness and contrast since its a strong light source.

Then I moved on to painting the lightning. I changed the colour of the lightning from blue to green for fun and also because it will look better with the dark green clothing. After painting the lightning I duplicated the add layer to amplify the effect and applied airbrush strokes on the center as well.

Once I was done with that I moved on to painting to Skelton face and shadows under his hoddie. That was done pretty quick since its the part with least area to paint. After that I decided to paint one more layer of shadow to add depth to the character. I did the same thing with other layers such as the pants, boots etc.

Finally it was time to paint the cool higlights on his body. After painting it in respect with the direction of the source of light I duplicated and blurred the layer to achieve glowing highlights. Now what's left was to paint the background. I duplicated the character twice and put them next to each other. This was an experiment and it looks like its better than standing alone haha. That's it! I hope you guys enjoyed the process and I hope you like my artwork :)

This is so nice bro! I love the decoy effects, the green and purple color reminds me of Green Goblin and the outfit mixed with plague doctor. Awesome work as always!

Ah yes that's the word, decoy! Thanks for that xd.

You literally dissected the character huh bro. I didn't think of green goblin or Dr blight while painting this xd. Observational skills are on point!

Wou friend, this drawing was too good, full of brightness and it seems to light up with that strong green. Excellent work, you are an artist.

I'm glad you liked the lighting effect! It's my favorite thing to do while painting an artwork :)

Insidious, that's the word. You're good with the yin and yang of characters- the pretty, feminine ones, and the dark, masculine characters, too.
