And so after 3 years I finally rented my first cards today. I'd always meant to but never got to it. Anyway, even though I can't give my verdict on the experiment just yet, I can safely punch myself in the face for not having pulled the trigger earlier.

Not only the prices are ridiculously low but it also took less than 10 minutes to rent the 3 cards, and even then is because I kept getting sidetracked.

All monsters are rented for at 7-8 days, except for Goldie War Chaang. He mine for 30 days, with his reach, health, burnability and neutrality he should prove himself very useful. The other 3 monsters I decided to rent were Fire Spitter, Gold Dragon and Almo Cambio, all golden of course.

So why did I choose those specific monsters I hear you ask; well, I rented 2 dragons because I love dragons and 2 neutral goldie because who doesn't love the Swiss, SEO for the algorithm._{Also golden cards generate more DECs per win, I wanted to try Almo's abilities, etc}

If my predictions are correct then I should reach Diamond II with some time to spare before the season ends. If so, then I'll rent more cards that complement my deck instead of focusing on card's burnability. Yes I already know which to choose, I used to possess most of them. Sniff.

Hopefully after all those derivative upgrades I'll be able to reach Champion III, a feat I haven't managed since last year pre Covid, dang time flies.

Anyways, I'll keep up with this experiment until at least the next season ends and if I like the resultant outcome then I'll keep at it, and maybe even kicking up a notch by renting plenty more monsters.
