Make no mistake about it NFTs are hot. People are buying dumb worthless crap at the moment on pure speculation that someone is going to want it for more later or just because they want it. This will eventually die out. It's a craze that happens in any market and it can last months or years depending on how the general feeling is about them.
That being said I firmly believe we will instead transition into gaming a lot heavier where real card collectors shell out millions, billions if not trillions of dollars on cards. Now put them in NFT form and put them to work in a game battling it out vs others and the real potential there is astronomical!
Splinterlands Season Ending Rewards
Here's a snapshot of the rewards I got from this latest season. I only ended up making it to diamond 2 the compaction has seriously heated up! A total of 50 loot chest were opened
Instead of taking a screenshot of everything I'll just take one with the best cards and then give an overview of what I got.
Some ok cards only one that really was worth much was the gold card at almost $10

Combine this with my quest rewards today seen here...

SPS and Rewards
Of course luck plays a good part in all of this and I'm sure some people got lucky with $1,000+ cards it's really possible Its happened to me in the past. Those can greatly boost you into rental income or just sitting back and collecting a little more from the SPS airdrop.
That's one of the iffy things I'm still on about the SPS airdrop and that's the luck factor from rewards. I guess it's all fair game though some times you get lucky some times you don't.
All in all total rewards today where a little lower pushing about $60 total in rewards and about $80 worth is SPS. Not to bad from a game right!

It could have been much worse lol Card drops seem to be getting pretty rare which makes me think so new ones might be coming soon.
I like the cards in your drop. I really did bad in the luck department. Lots of potions and minimal dec. I'm wondering a little about the value of older cards when chaos comes out. I think new players will lean toward chaos and I don't know what that means for values. I think it will be tricky to know what to hang onto and what to sell. (not that I've sold anything). I am not confident about any non-gaming nfts that I have. A bunch of junk.
Potions can be good, I have to say I never open a pack anymore unless I have both of them in fear of what if I would of had it on would it have been a gold card or a legendary! Those cards are worth a TON. Legendary cards can go for thousands or a solid $10+ rental a day or really pack on to the SPS airdrop. No reason not to collect those rewards each day :)
I hadnt bought any packs since the steemmonsters starter packs came out. I never played. Just starting now so potions seem boring but I hear you.
I plan to buy chaos packs. I just have a feeling that it could lower the value of some of the older cards.

Yeah my rewards this season where meh at best...Nothing to write home about other than the fact that I...Got more DEC and a few common cards which I didn't have a few hours ago!
And long term, I'm all about accumulation so it's a win no matter what lol
Yeah I have a feeling they are running out of reward cards so it's been pretty meh as of late on the rewards front. Nothing to complain about though rewards cards are rewards cards!

I had 26 chests available and I didn't get any cards. It came out as all DEC and potions but at least I got a 1.2k DEC drop.
