if the interest in the game keeps going up as it has been doing all 2021, it'll get harder and harder for new players to get a decent deck without spending absurd amounts of money.
I'm a bit concerned about this too. It's already really expensive for the average person to get a decent deck.
From the other perspective I'm tempted to buy some more packs and sell them later in the year. Problem is I'm a HODL'er so I will probably find them difficult to sell, even if I find I can make a decent profit. Presumably, the closer we get to Chaos, the greater the chance the pack prices will start to drop again. Timing it right will be critical.
I should probably decide now rather than get caught up in the inevitable FOMO and then buy as a result of that.

Aye, timing it will be pretty hard, so I'll just take some profits along the way. I'm not worried about the long term outlook of Splinterlands so even if prices go down a bit with Chaos Legion I don't mind holding on to most of my spare copies.

Me neither. I haven't sold a single card. I'm thinking they might be even more valuable when people need numbers to work the land. 😊
