Splinterlands - Earth Elemental (Weekly Battle Post)

One of those unique and classic cards in the game that goes unnoticed would be Earth Elemental. This is because at first glance the monster does not appear to be more useful than a back end monster. Water Elemental has the upper hand as by default in level 1 it has heal, but by level 4 Earth Elemental also has heal. In the end I still think Water Elemental is more favorable choice since stats wise and abilities trump that of Water Element. However any Earth monster with healing is very useful.

In a gold level match I faced an opponent that used Water Splinter while I put on Earth. The monsters I used were mostly distance attack monsters since mana was limited to 36 and planned to withstand my opponent's attack through higher health ratings.

From the start we had tank monster in Sea Monster versus tank monster Flesh Golem. Then across both sides we had mostly distance fighting monsters which appear to be an evenly balance face off. My opponent had better leveling of monsters as most were level 4 and higher, but since my summoner was level 4 I was able to get my Earth Elemental up to level 4. I mention this as it becomes important later in the battle.

After the first round my opponent's Sea monster is knocked out, but by beginning of the third round it came down to 4 monster versus my 5 monsters.

By the fifth round the great Ruler of the Sea was removed while it came down to 1 monster versus my 3. My Earth Elemental did not get touched at all even though it had healing at level 4. It was clear I would finish this battle with a victory.

Once only Water Elemental was left it was sitting duck for my opponent and I had Earth Elemental and Javelin Thrower finish off the match.
