Splinterlands share your battle. A perfect game.
This wont be a post about lava spiders.

For this weeks share your battle contest the splinterlands team has chosen "Lava Spider". This doesn't work for me as i don't stock any fire cards out off all the possible splinters.
It was a decision i made at the start of the game to ignore fire and earth but i did pick up an earth set along the way. I never bothered with the fire one which could change at some stage.
So with that in mind i need to find an even more interesting battle to share to make up for it.
REMINDER: If you do not own the themed card/monster you are welcome to create a battle post and talk about ANY card/monster. Have fun!
Winning to zero.
This can take different forms in different games but it would be the equivalent of winning a rugby game to nil. Clearing the table in snooker or coming in 7&8.
They all can be achieved but it's a rare feat. Especially as you move higher up the ranks it is a lot less likely with a better quality of opposition.
This was a match in Diamond I.
Ruleset: Equalizer and close range.
Mana: 23.
Starting Lineup.

As soon as I saw the lineup i knew it was going to be a war of attrition. These type of maxed life games often are and with the opponent trying to reduce my melee and my ranged it took the strength from my attack.
Luckily I had anticipated that they would come at me with a ranged strategy since there were only two splinters available for use. Life and Dragon.
Therefore i lined up my second favorite tank. Shieldbearer who is a must for this level and one of the best defenses against Zaku. Loaded him up with two shield repair monsters and a healer to make it a tough task for anybody wanting to break through him. And since he has taunt and shield you have to go through him. His biggest weakness is magic but that was an unlikely outcome.
First kill.

It took five rounds for the first kill that went to me while the opponent had still to make a dent in my armor. That guaranteed the victory right then and there as if they couldn't break the skin with a full team. It wasn't going to happen with less firepower.
Round 8.

The next ten rounds were more of the same but it's all about the points. As they say, there are no pictures on the scorecard. It doesn't have to be pretty.
They attacked from range. I reflected it. Healed, restored armor and did it all over again. They started every round with a little less health than the last one and fell away one monster at a time.
Finishing lineup.

As you can see form the first and last screenshots that my team looks remarkably the same.
That's a clean victory and will hopefully push me forwards towards champions league where i want to get back towards.
Try for yourself.
If you haven't played the game before then now is the best time to join. Today is much better than tomorrow and a lot better than later.

Damn, that LVL 8 Shieldbearer is a real tank.

I love this card ion no magic battles. It's a pure tank at this level and then use assassin to attack their backline with poison. Works most of the time.
Wow your strategy of repairing armor is really good. I don't have the right combination for that type of set up but I have a feeling that I would of went with a Daria strategy (my deck).

When you get into the higher leagues, most players have maxed cards. Thats when strategy comes into it a lot more than the lower levels where you can just over power weaker decks.
