Splinterlands Raffle Results - average returns for an average investment....

I wasn't expecting to win any Land in the raffle and I didn't - most of that will go to the already rich who bought regions and tracts.

I only have about 20 plots of land ATM and had around 500K DEC in the pool for two months.

I think I got unlucky not getting another plot maybe, but I didn't even expect that!

Still, I did get...

  • 10 Untamed packs
  • 8 Dice packs

I got a few nice cards, the best score was a gold thorny summoner thing:

I also got some totems, but it's a fair bet these are worthless, coming right down the list as they did, and being so numerous.

Not buying more cards....

Even with those Dice packs - I haven't bought any yet - I have NO desire to start buying new cards. I've kind of had enough of that!

It's probably just as well...

I'm not that clever, but neither am I stoopid enough to think that now I've got my land, and my monsters and summoners that I'm already set to 'play with LAND' - there is no fucking way that's going to happen - I'll bet my entire Splinterlands holdings I'm going to have to spend MORE DEC to get up and running mining/ crafting etc.

So best to just stack for that inevitability.

I think I had around 400.

I saw someone post who said he bought 'a few tracts' - even he only got 3 land claims and then packs on top.

I'm really hoping some random person whose got 1 or 2 tickets gets the region prize, but I bet it's a whale.

I wasn't expecting much from the raffle, so 18 packs will do me!

The region was won by @angelito26, who needed just 849 raffle tickets. Another very lucky person was @simplymike. He won a Land Tract worth 1700$ with only 349 tickets!

I would say you were pretty unlucky!

I don't think I was - but those people were very lucky, I'd rather that than a whale.

I think you're being a little generous with the valuation - those prices are probably going to come down!

That's not too bad! That gold foil mylor crowling is a fantastic summoner, one of the strongest in the game at the moment!

Yes :P That is kinda guaranteed from what I gathered reading the Land announcement posts! The more expensive, high endthe cards are, the more you mine etc etc....you know the drill lol!

The Mylor is a hold I think for sure.

I've already bought some Legendary cards just to stake to land, but what I mean by having to spend more, is they'll be something else on top too - tools, buildings for example.

Yes, you are correct....there was some talk about getting different levels of buildings/infrastructure developments to enhance production of items and spells. It's all still quite fuzzy to me the details.

Well I'm just stacking the DEC I earn from playing in the meantime!

So at least I can have a decent start in some aspect of the land thing.
