What's land worth now?

Prologue

I've been thinking about boosting my stake in Land a little. So I updated my good old excel sheet and found a few interesting data points to share here - if anyone is interested in the same ;-)

The Plots

Currently, Grain is the best to go to regarding cost. When I calculated last, it was Stone at a cost of 93 DEC/1k Stone. And although Stone is sitting at the same price point again, after dropping to 70 DEC/1k, grain just takes the cake - it went from 9 DEC/1k to 14,5 DEC, and that is after quite the drop.

It's also the more expensive one. Common plots are around 20-25$, Rare around 30 - 35$. It's still worth getting the extra 10% from the rarity boost, especially when playing with 30k+ PP. In that case, the difference in PP boost makes up for the extra cost within half a year:

Of course, I also have a table for the break even points of each plot at 30k PP with current prices (DEC around 0.0005).

Due to Stone plots being very cheap at the moment, and the Stone-Card being a banger game play, it's actually the best play - if we only look at the plot.

Cards

But there's something more important, and that's the cards! So I updated all those prices, too, and found that some dropped in price, and others went up - especially Alpha and Beta went up in price, while Chaos and Untamed dropped.

Now, that chart alone can be misleading - you won't get to 30k PP with all Chaos Legion, only Epic and Legendary GF can make that happen. Hence, you need to factor in the space they take up, and the most efficient use of your slots.

That's what this chart is for. It factors in the production per slot - but inverse, so the lower, the better. The idea is to find a card that has a combination of a low $/1k PP and a low CPC. Beta Rare RF is still the best there, in my opinion.

Currently, those cards are around 30$ for a maxed version, stake included.

Boosts

Boosts are what makes the difference in the long run. 10% more, compounding over 10 years... you get the idea.

Prices are quite attractive for boosts these days. I like that. Common Totem is still be best, as always, in terms of efficiency. And until the extra boost makes up for the extra cost, many years can go by... depending on how much PP you're working.

Simulations

So, I ran my simulations four times. Each are RF Rare cards, but from each edition - to show the difference. I calculated the yearly ROI based on TODAYS value of all components, translating them into DEC.

Chaos Legion: 6.39% yROI

Untamed: 11.03% yROI

Beta: 12.87% yROI

Alpha: 8.81% yROI

Conclusion

I'm honestly surprised that Untamed is such high up there in terms of ROI. I thought that Beta RF would stick out by a mile.

Thanks to the rise in price of Grain, land can be still very profitable. For now, I'm just hoarding and hoping for the impact of more utility that will come. I'm still very bullish on Land, so I might just do the buy and equip my plot right.
