A Quick Splinterlands Update - It's been a while
Once a week I think I'll be making a post about splinterlands. It's really the only game I invested in on the blockchain. I maxed out my beta cards and also invested into the kickstarter which allowed me to create my very own card. That card being the summoner Valnamor.
It looks like this investment paid off as I'm still able to go toe to toe with some of the best in splinterlands and that is what this update is all about.
A few of my winning battles today via my quest Fire quest win 5 rounds using fire.
Battle 1: Win - This is how most of my matchups look. Heavy HP in front with range and reach in the back to try and power through quickly.
Battle 2: Lost - I was trying to go heavy HP in front with a backup of melee in the back with reach but their one card just overpowered my front line way to fast.
On average I earn about 20 DEC per match or roughly 100 DEC each day if I only do my 5 for my daily goal. Today resulted in these rewards. A nice bump from this come from a few gold cards I use once in a while which gives a nice perk to the DEC earned. On top of that Alpha cards also give a nice bump in bonus those % really start to add up over time.
Rewards:
I have to say I was shocked at the 600 DEC but seriously shocked at the 11,000! That's a boat load that I have never seen before and now motivates me even more for wanted to level up higher.
At the moment this puts me in Gold II and with two days left I seriously want to get into at least Diamond.
Investment wise:
If you invest into Splinterlands you seriously need to put in the time to play the game to see those rewards come back to you. I would say roughly 20+ minutes of game time each and every day.
I am very much considering picking up land as soon as I can as a long term investment and I think it's going to be a cool new feature to the game. I am all about harvesting and passive when it comes to anything in life or gaming which puts land right into my primary goals.
The biggest take away from all of this is I'm back into the game. Over the course of a week I've gone from the slums to ranking back in Gold and I believe I can hit diamond with some more time investment.

As a rookie to splinterlands, I appreciate this post.
First, your tank card in battle looks pretty awesome.
Second, I agree and land purchase will probably happen as long term play on this game will require it.
20 minutes a day is good estimate. few battles piss me off, & then get the 5 wins and shut it down.
and we won't talk about rankings here.
I know that feeling. I don't like leveling up to much in a day as that normally leads to a streak of losses the next day which can easily take that 20 minutes a day to nearly a hour!
