Our Latest Guild Brawl Results and Featured Battles

Hello Splinterlands summoners and welcome to my blog. Our guild completed another exciting brawl this week. In today's post, I will share our performance in the brawl, my own contribution and featured battles.

Guild Rank and My Performance

Our guild performed worse this week compared to the last. We ranked in sixth place with two hundred thirty seven points winning seventy nine battles and lost fifty seven and earned eighty seven crowns that we can use to upgrade our buildings. Upgrading buildings give members benefits like a glint and SPS multiplier in won battles.

My own performance was still good. I won seven battles out of eight and contributed twenty one points. Each participant earned 4.5k merits and 56 SPS.

Featured Battle

Battle 1 - Earth Team

This battle features my bread and butter play with the Earth team. I had the elf archon Kaylia Silverleaf who grants the Execute ability to all elves. Then I had the strong gladiator card Quora in tank position. Her dual attack, high health and healing ability gives her a combination of offense and defense. She is supported by Virid Venomancer who grants her the Shield ability, adding another layer of defense. My team is completed by elves who will take advantage of the Execute ability given by the archon. Included in my team are a couple of sneak attackers to harass the enemy backline and a Taunt unit to draw attacks away from my tank.

My enemy had a higher level archon and units. His tank was the new legendary reward card Skrag the Gnaw who boasts of Poison Burst among his abilities. His team was a mix of Life and Earth units since his archon is a dual splinter summoner. His gladiator card was the capable Captain Katie who deals four magic damage. The rest of his team were composed of range and magic units.

My team was anchored on the strength of Quora. Her survivability enables my attackers to do as much damage to the enemy team. My sneak attackers decimate the enemy backline while I had a couple of magic attackers along with Quora taking care of the front.

Battle 2 - Dragon/Fire Team

In the next battle, the ruleset included Rise of the Commons. I picked a dragon archon and fire units. I had the Drybone Megalodon on tank position followed by the gladiator card Chimney Wallstop. I particularly like two tank combos in my team. Then I had Grove Doomblade and Magmaforged combo. Grove Doomblade is a strong sneak attacker who deals five melee damage. The problem is her one speed stat making her attacks miss. Magmaforges supports her with its Pinpoint ability, ensuring that sneak attackers always hit their target. I also had the Dragon Egg Forager whose twin abilities Opportunity and Scavenger are clutch in the end game. Lastly, I had a Taunt unit inspite of the Ferocity ruleset. It's just a great strategy for me to divide attacks and make my tank survive longer.

This time my enemy had the lower level archon and units. It was an easier battle as the enemy units were defeated easily by my units in a few hits.
