Chasing City Lights: Our Starbucks Night Hike Adventure

Welcome to Starbucks — a place where people hike, even those in their 40s, showing great determination just to experience it and, as they say, to strengthen their knees. Of course, this place is also famous online, where many people go to experience how challenging it is to climb the mountain.

The trail is not in good condition, so you really need to be careful to avoid slipping. Since we went there at night, we had to be extra cautious.

Look at one of my friends—he even brought a stick to use as support because he knew how difficult the trail would be, especially at night. But even though it was already dark, many people were still hiking just to experience the Starbucks hike.

These are my friends during the hike—they were already very tired, but they were still thinking about our next hiking destination. We arrived at the top very late at night, and the trail became even harder because it was rocky and unfamiliar to us. Some of us really struggled, but we were all eager to reach the top.

Because of our eagerness, we successfully made it. What made it even more special was the view—the city lights looked like we could see the whole of Cebu City from above.
