Hi... I am a blogger, what can I offer steemit?

Hi.
I used to work for several websites writing content in different subjects. I am a freelancer. I also do translations sometimes. I searched about steemit after watching a youtube video. It seems like a good community. Its still new and has so much potential. sometimes I wish I wasn't a freelancer. freelancing is hard and you have to make sure the content you are putting out is good enough for the customer and you deal with lots of them in the process. You have to always be good enough and sometimes you are not. Sometimes I think the freedom that freelancing gives me is not worth it and is in fact a prison. I wish I had a regular job with financial security. I wish I did another major in college, so I wouldn't have to freelance.
Anyway, sorry I rambled a bit. The subjects I am interested in writing are politics, economics and fitness, but I have written about many subjects.
can I make good money from steemit?

hmmmmmmm… some do... but right now it's difficult for the most. The steemprice doesn't reflect the rise of bitcoin. I hope it's just temporary until the next Hardfork takes place end of august.

The official FAQ can be found here and has A LOT of information https://steemit.com/faq.html - Also remember, Steemit is just ONE of the sites built that uses Steem the blockchain. You should also check out DTube and DSound for starters and if you're a gamer, Splinterlands! There are many other cool apps but I can't list them all here, there's just too many! But I'd also like to mention Steempeak, it's a better blogging platform that has a lot of cool features. The latest project you should also check as a new member is a palnet! To succeed on Steemit you probably need more research on Steem. There are so many things, I just follow a strategy. This is not a quick place to make money.

Please have a read about my STEEMJOURNEY.

Here are also some tools that I use and I hope you can find them useful too:

  1. Use Partiko App from your mobile phone to post to your blog, comment, and upvote content in SteemIt to earn points which you can use to boost your own content.
  2. If you’re into games, you may wanna try playing Steem Monsters, a blockchain game based on Steem. If lets you compete with other players around the world with creature cards which you can sell and/or convert to crypto.
  3. Get rewarded for staying fit and healthy with ActiFit - a Steem-based app which rewards you with tokens (which you can eventually use to boost your content) for being physically active.
  4. Invest your Steem Power at Smart Steem and get daily rewards and earn more Steem
  5. Exchange votes with other users with SteemEngine.Net
  6. eSteem and Steempeak both offer an intuitive way of using Steem, enhancing your user experience.
  7. I saw the image in your post is a Wordpress "create post" page, if you're using Wordpress, install the Steempress plugin so you can just crosspost your blog content to your Steem blog.

Seven suggestions:

  1. Guard your passwords carefully, and only publish with the posting key,
  2. Use your active key only for wallet transactions and steemconnect,
  3. The master password is only used to reset compromised passwords,
  4. DO NOT lose your passwords; copy and store offline,
  5. Do not publish other people's work, be it photos or written, without credit,
  6. An introduceyourself tag is used only once, and
  7. When you open your steemit.com, in the upper right corner of the page there are 3 bars. Click on those, and then on the "welcome", and you will get a lot of reading material that will help you.
