'Elemental Water Magic' - New Original Music - Experimenting w/ Newscool Percussion! Electronic/Ambient/Instrumental + Walkthrough!

I decided to continue

with the theme of yesterday's song, sort of ambient, floaty synths that come in and out, rising up and down. All the percussion is from 'Newscool', which is a great little Reaktor application that allows you to create randomized drum beats/loops, which you can tweak and alter as it plays to create some interesting effects. This is another song inspired by Splinterlands. I wanted it to revolve around water magic, so the echoey, deep vibe of the drums fulfills that partially, and the dissonant synth stuff adds some tension on top, a sort of metaphor for the dangerous and yet beautiful nature of magic (if it existed of course, lol). Once again, there isn't a lot to go through here, as it's a lot of audio clips (not midi-piano roll), but I'll explain the basic idea.

Listen to Elemental Water Magic here.

Track 5 provides the basic

melodic idea, which just repeats constantly through the song, holding an F, then a D, then holding a B, before repeating. All the other synths are built around that, harmonizing in minor thirds or fifths. They don't all play together all the time though, as they each rise and fall at different points, which gives the song a constantly shifting texture, which turned out awesome. There are actually two additional percussion tracks that also come in and out, which gives some parts a heavier vibe, and then as they drop in volume, allows thing to lighten up and spread out a bit.
