So I wanted to write a tune

based around either the Fallen Spectre or Prismatic Energy, something floaty/ambient, and this is one of the results! I actually wrote four or five different little songs last night, all with the same idea, using a bunch of instruments that I've never really explored before. I think it turned out well, this could use a few small fixes mixing wise, but generally I like the vibe; it's what I imagined, sort of a rhythm-less, soundscapey, slightly creepy at times, song.

Listen to Spectre Rising here.

It'll be difficult to go

through track by track here, as, generally, any instruments that I played/mapped out on a piano roll are just holding a B, quite literally for the entire track. There are some pitch envelopes on a few which bring in some variation, and a synth that plays a B in multiple octaves, but other than that, it's all one note. The volume changes are what keep the song moving, as individual parts float in and out of the tune. I particularly like how everything builds up towards the end, then slowly floats off into the distance.

Hope you dig today's song! Thanks for listening!

The Fallen Specter is scary and as such deserves his own composition. Well done.
