I wanted to write something

sort of floaty, and somewhat dark, using a bunch of the soundscape synths in Logic's library in honor of the 'Dark Ha'on', but this song wound up having parts that are much more light and 'hopeful' than I initially intended, so I figured I would title it after a regular Ha'on, which, like Rexxie/Dark Rexxie, I would assume were a species that at some point became corrupted by Dark magic. If not, I guess I'm inventing my own lore, but that works for me too, lol. I really like how this came out, considering its essentially just two different sections, divided amongst a bunch of various synth sounds.

It would be a bit difficult

to go through track by track and describe the sound/timbre of each, as they're WAY more specific than saying 'guitar' or 'drums', so I figured I'd just go throug the progressions themselves. We have the GREEN parts, which are all in B minor, and the Blue, where we move to the parallel major, B major. The Green sections never feel too resolved, as after the first beat, which starts on our tonic, we have a Vi chord. This Vi shows up again in the B major sections (technically as the bVi, since we changed keys), which helps to bind the two sections, despite the fact that the two keys are quite different. There is also an Emajor which shows up occasionally in the Green parts, which also achieves this.
