I drove past this tree so many times when I have been walking at the Drau reservoir, but I have never photographed it because it somehow didn't look interesting enough to me.

Ich bin schon so oft an diesem Baum vorbeigefahren, wenn ich am Drau Stausee spazieren gegangen bin, aber ich habe ihn noch nie fotografiert, weil er mir irgendwie nicht interessant genug ausgeschaut hat.

Last Saturday everything was white from the snow and the tree suddenly looked so different than usual on its little hill.

Due to the clouds and the fog as well as the because of the snow almost monochrome forest in the background, the tree with its still autumnal orange leaves stood really beautiful and powerful there.

This tree can be found somewhere in the Rosental behind the right hill in the photo below - it is almost right next to the road, and you don't even have to get out of the car to take a picture.

Letzten Samstag war alles weiß vom Schnee und der Baum hat auf einmal so anders als sonst ausgesehen auf seinem kleinen Hügel.

Durch die Wolken und den Nebel sowie den durch den Schnee fast monochromen Wald im Hintergrund ist der Baum mit seinen immer noch herbstlich orangen Blättern so richtig schön und mächtig dagestanden.

Diesen Baum kann man irgendwo im Rosental hinter dem rechten Hügel auf dem Foto unten finden - er steht fast direkt neben der Straße, und um ihn zu fotografieren muss man nicht mal aus dem Auto aussteigen.

This snow is almost gone, because it has become very warm here, but fortunately it is not raining yet :)

Yes, you are right, the snow will come back soon and then it will hopefully stay cold, that the snow stays longer too 👍🙂

The tree didn't mind, dear @kaminchan, because he knew that one day later it would be warm again - unfortunately most of the snow has already melted and most white has gone, but I do hope that it will snow again next week 🙂

if I'd have a bitcoin I probably not give it to you but sell it, and use the money to travel to Bali, and spend there a whole month or two with my family doing a leisure life, enjoying coral reefs, mangrow forests, and simply the see... the sae. litoralle... seashells... crabs... reefs.... why why did you mentioned it :/ this will never happen. nobody will give me or you one bitcoin. our eyes arnt enough pretty for such a move xD

hmmm... maybe we can drink more !BEER instead of such a fantasy... i really dont know.

Haben wir vor ein paar Jahren mit einem Cannabisbaum gemacht.

Sah gut aus und war lustig :)

Mal sehen ob ich das Bild noch finde.

Guten Morgen :)
Wir haben auch etwa +6 Grad hier und das bisschen Schnee, das noch liegen geblieben ist, schmilzt nun auch noch weg, weil die Sonne auch scheint. Aber der Winter kommt ja erst ;)

Ein Cannabisbaum mit Kerzen muss auch gut ausschauen ;)

Gephotoshopt sicherlich, praktisch aber nicht machbar, denn die Stengel halten das Gewicht nicht, sind zu zart dazu.

Das dachte ich mir schon, aber weil ich mich bei diesen Pflanzen nicht auskenne, hätte es ja auch möglich sein können, dass es Arten mit stärkeren Ästen gibt.

Even in winter that tree is so beautiful, today when I drove home fromt he train stations, all the trees were cake din ice, looked beautiful, but I didnt have the motivation to get out and get shots of them, maybe because it took me a few minutes to get all the ice of my car so I could drive home LOL

Sometimes to scrape off the ice from the car windows is !DERANGED hard.
For such ice I have a de-icing spray, because otherwise it would take me ages to get home or to work.

Iced trees - these must have looked beautiful. It rained and then it got freezing cold?
I have seen such trees nearby waterfalls where the air is humid. They look really cool.

Ohh yeah getting ice off can be !DERANGED hard work yesterday wasn’t as bad as it has been other years it will be this year lol I was glad I had remote unlock for the car as the door handles were frozen and couldn’t unlock manually

Yes we had snow which cooled down the trees then it turned to icy rain which froze on the trees

I remember the first cars I had, which could be unlocked only with the key. Back then I always used a lighter to heat the key and then used it to melt the ice in the lock.

My wife has such a problem with her Beetle - the side windows have no doorframe and when you unlock the car these windows roll down an inch, but sometimes they are frozen and she cannot open the doors - she has wanted a fancy car, and now she has to wait outside sometimes ;)

Ohh yes I remember cars with just the key, back whenI was first driving thats all there was, but then again back in NZ it never got that cold where i lived that freezing was an Issue

WhenII was in the balkans we only had keys to open our vehicles and I regularly used a lighter or hot water to de freeze so I could get into the vehicle

I may not be !DERANGED but I share deranged tokens, similarly I don't drink !BEER anymore

This tree stands in the middle of a field on a small hill, and of course, it is quite tall and you might not oven notice me if I were standing under the tree 😉

This was the first time that I have photographed this tree, but nearby there's another tree, of which I have quite a few photos from all seasons apart from Spring, which I will make in a few months ;)

Maybe I should make such photos from this tree too, as you suggested ... if I can remember that when I pass it next time or in Spring ;)

I drive a lot, and you are right, the distances are quite short compared to the distances you have to drive.
I have a Peugeot family van and I love it, because it is big enough for our whole family and small enough that I can drive on most small alpine roads ;)

I don't think, that you have Peugeots over there in the United States. They are too small for you, although they are big enough for us ;) I haven't even found a US website of Peugeot.

You can have up to seven seats, but we have 5, because we are only 4 people ;)
We love that car - small enough to handle it easily and big enough inside to carry us 4 and our luggage if we drive to vacation.

I think they don't sell to the States, but I don't know why.
