My first Steps Streaming Splinterlands on Twitch
In the last Splinterlands Town Hall, they were speaking about SplinterlandsTV on Twitch and I started to have a look at the streamers there. I had created an account on Twitch a long time ago. I don't exactly remember the reason for doing it and I hardly ever used it. It was actually quite nice to look at other gamers play in real time and it made me think that maybe I could do some streaming myself.
For a very long time, I have been using the OBS software for my videos that I would be uploading to 3speak and publish on the Hive blockchain. The more I used the software, the more I got confident with it. However, doing streams seemed daunting and complicated and I never really tried to do it.
After watching SplinterlandsTV for some time, I went to youtube and searched: „tutorial how to start with Twitch“. I took the first video, a german one, and watched it. After 13 minutes, I felt ready to start streaming. I updated OBS to the latest version and changed some settings. I filled my account settings on Twitch and finally linked OBS to my Twitch channel. This is great because it opens the video description and the chat directly in my OBS.
First streaming trials
The next step was to try it out. I made my very first Splinterlands streaming video. I had forgotten to close my Rising Star tab and in the middle of playing Splinterlands, there was this loud jingle when you get beer in Rising Star... It kind of sabotaged the streaming but I will learn things for sure.
My Twitch Channel is still pretty empty. I'll work on it :-)
Getting an audience
It's great to stream your gaming but of course it would be even better with an audience. So I left a little message in noise.cash and this brought my first viewers and the first followers to my twitch account.
Content for streaming, content for posting
Being able to stream content on twitch is great and offers new options in my content creation activity. When I play the game, when I open packs or rewards, I will stream that. I will however continue to make videos about the game and post them on 3speak when I talk about the game, it's economy and all the projects related to it.

Why streaming on Twitch?
I believe that there are several advantages to streaming content on twitch. First of all, I can do my part to promote Splinterlands and maybe other blockchain games to a broader audience. Then, it will help me maybe to improve my personal brand and bring more people to my Hive posts. Finally, I think it's always good to continue learning and streaming is simply a new thing that I can add to my online competences.

It seems we ended up in the same situation on Wild. Barely made it to Diamond 1, and, like you, I didn't want to risk going further. That was a nice idea to play in Modern for another chest. I won one more for my daily focus and one more for my season this way, without depleting my ECR (only 3 more battle wins in a row).

I'm quite happy to have reached Diamond 1. Last season I didn't manage to pass Diamond 2 and it tooke me ages to get back into diamond league. Playing modern at the end of the season is quite nice because it's almost 100% win rate :-)
Are watchers counted? I mean do you have any benefits if you have (more) watchers?
Honestly I don't know lol. I don't even know if there is any way of monetizing the platform.

Now following you on Twitch! I like the idea of a Twitch stream for chess and splinterlands, but so far I have only used it to watch other people's (mainly chess) livestreams.
