DAY 1

Yesterday I anounced that I would bring daily updates about the new rewards system. Well it didn't start of well. I guess I did not read the update properly as I said I wanted to be in Gold for the rewards. However, last season I ended up in Diamond, meaning I am stuck on diamond chests. I would've rented out some more cards to end up in gold instead of diamond if i read properly. Then I also had to complete my old quests of 5 wins before I could start earning for my daily focus. This rewarded me only 1 chest for the first day.

DAY 2

A little more confidence on day 2. I made the decision to rent some great cards to be a little more competitive. For the daily focus I got Death. I don't think people consider this the strongest deck for Silver, but I really like it. Especially because a lot of people spam magic and Thaddius counters magic. Cards like Ancient Lich and Cthulhu are also really strong, therefor I rented them. I stopped at 3 daily chest I am now at 98% ECR so I can start the new day strong again. I ended the season in Gold III so I grew some rating today.

DAY 3

Day 3 we got assigned the life splinter. Even though General Sloan is the cheapest CL summoner it has always been one of my favourites. Combine it with Peacebringer and Air elemental and you have some high speed high damage dealers. These are some of my guaranteed life rentals, however the Lorna Shine Sneak attack team can make some trouble. A combination of those two decks brought me a 10 game win streak. Giving my 4 daily chests. The highest amount yet. I ended in Gold II with 98% ECR still. I will start for day 4 now. Lets see if we can match the daily chests in day 4.

DAY 4

Today was my best day yet, I got a total of 6 daily chests and was winning a decent amount of games. I started of in Silver II and I am getting a decent amount of points per win. This is making the experience more pleasing. I used to have to win 4/5 games for a chest and now it is a little over 2 wins. This way we can generate more chests and it shows. I am also constantly keeping my ECR at 90%+ and play my games spread over the day. This also helps. I am slowly perfecting the way to earn chests. Today it was obviously saturday, and saturdays are for the boys ;). I opened my Daily focus at 23:00 local time and now I can't open the chests tonight, because I will likely already be sleeping. This isn't perfect but it will have to do. On day 4 I had the death splinter again, unlike last time I rented some more and better cards and that resulted in more wins. I still think renting is the way to go, but because I have not been lucky in DEC rewards yet. I haven't profited a lot from the daily chests. I am hoping that the season chests and average will make up for these rentals some day. I see bronze and silver players outperform me for now. That is not fun to see as I own a decent amount of assets in the game and rentals deliver me close to nothing anymore. Anyway, I am slowly getting more excited about the rewards.

DAY 5

So today was the day I realized I was a little impatient at the start. The start of the season was just tougher because everyone gets dropped in rating. Currently I am playing in Gold I and my Points are really decent working towards diamond chests. I got 7 chests today and that is equal to the amount of chests I was getting before. I have to do a little more work to get them though, but the higher level of play makes the game more fun as well. I now know that I can rent way more aggressive as the DEC rewards from Diamond chests are great. This way I can get a good deck for some extra DEC and still profit daily. The season chests aren't even included in the profit analysis. Today we got 7 chests and we got 672 DEC in those chests and my rental costs are between 100-200 DEC daily. It took some time to find the right balance between earning and playing. Also I see my ROI on the cards I rent out has increased. More people are picking up on that renting better cards is essential for more chests.

DAY 6

Today I got to play with the Earth splinter. Which in my opinion is also one of the stronger splinters. U immediately notice that rentals for the earth splinter are much more expensive than for instance Life or Death. That is why I went with Lyanna instead of obsidian to save some rental costs, but also to become less predictable. Obsidian is too easy to counter with anti-magic. I got a good amount of wins and this brought me to another 7 chests today while my ECR is at 99% again at this moment. 6 days in and I like the game officially more than before. The game is more competitive and more pleasing to win. Today I got my first Gold Foil Epic card as a reward as well.
