Splinterlands Woods challenge
This week's share your battle challenge involves using a card from the earth splinter.
A newcomer who is fast, an orphan who lives in the woods
Let's jump right into it!
Theme: Child of the Forest
The Child of the Forest is a Rare card from the Untamed edition.
He can snipe and has a pretty good speed, his mana cost is also amazing. For 3 Mana you get a card with the speed of 5
It starts with an attack of 1, however it gets at level 3 his attack increases.
His only weakness is his low amount oh hitpoints.
It can be yours for 0.05 $. I believe this is appropriate.
Since it was released during the untamed series, you'll need more cards to level up
Where to use
The Phantasm should be used on the following rulesets:
- Equalizer
- Matches with low Mana cap
With Equalizer the Child of the forest loses its main weakness, namely its low hitpoints
The Battle
This Battle involves the Armored Up and Lost legendaries ruleset
This is a short battle with a low Mana cap.
Both of us used three cards. For this battle my rival brought a level 10 Splinter. This is one of the few times where I won against a rival with huge cards.
I focused on using my Flesh golem as the main attraction while the child snipes the rest of the team.
My Lineup
Flesh Golem: A Massive tank with massive hitpoints. He alone is able to recover from most of the attacks by healing
Furious Chicken: Great for low mana battles
Child of the Forest: The player of the week. Taking care of my rival's backline by sniping
In this battle keeping the Flesh Golem alive was the defining factor. I was pretty lucky that he didn't get afflicted by my rival's serpentine mystic.
The child of the forest was very helpful here, as he reduced the mystic's hitpoints fast enough.
This is in my opinion one of the setups for the Child of the forest.
##The second Battle
Was the previous battle too short? I got you covered fam!
This Battle involves the Fog of War and Rise of the commons ruleset
The Fog of War ruleset can be a blessing for the Child of the forest, since it protects him from snipers and sneakers.
He loses the snipe ability but can be very useful due to his low mana cost and strong attack.
I was able to deal 5 damage to my rival's flesh golem each turn, while he heals 3 hitpoints. Whereas I was getting 8 damage per turn while healing 6 damage.
The key to this battle was taking down the golem first.
My Vulture was able to slowly take down my rival's cards and reducing his attacking power.
See you in the Battlefield!
