Changing Directions - from Splinterland to Pokemon?

All my life i collect stuff like yu-gi-oh cards, coins ect.
When i find out about Splinterlands i was so excited and it went well for a while.
Sad to say it but i do not see it prosper from now on.
So i find out something new and old at the same time that i actually never collected - Pokemon.
Although this is my favorite childhood anime I've never started collected cards or stickers from it.
Now its not the best time to go in Pokemon because is overhyped plus the 30th anniversary of the whole franchise is now.
But let's be real someone once said ''There is no better time to start than NOW''.
Plus i remember i've seen somewhere a video with an old retailer that said
'' Pokemon is a childs game but needs adult money''. I'm not sure i have the adult money but i will try it anyway.
The prices were one of the main things i went with yu-gi-oh , not with pokemon at the time. Now i see that the things aren't changed alot but we will see how it goes.

the man that i bought it from had some ''penny cards'' SOOO

I got these just to have some i do not know if im gonna sell cards in the future or just collect, but i think these will be ''bonus cards'' for packages (if you know you know)

Got these too, the whole package was like 7$ which i think is fair for this much shields/toploaders and sleeves

I picked up some cards that i want to collect, that i think will have extra value in few years but they are not yet delivered. When they come i will show them to you.
From collecting other things i know that buying packs and boxes is not the best thing moneywise . Its better to buy single cards .
For this green binder i want to collect the first 151 cards (im an OG guy)with older cards . Of course i'm not talking about Charizard, Base Set 004 (1st Edition) Shadowless, Holo but still older sets like Jungle,Fossil, Team Rocket ect.
And if i find box or pack that i think has fair price i might buy and hold it.

In later post I will try to show prices too and how it goes.
Im still concedering selling some of the SPL cards and stuff to find at least partly my journey to Pokemon but do not know what, how much and if i will do it
