The Silvershield Knights are Recruiting

I think they may accept me now that I have finished in 3rd place in their latest tournament.

This is by far my best finish in almost a year of playing in Splinterlands tournaments. There were 129 combatants at the start. I had a bye the first round of the tournament. The second round, I was matched against @misugalez, who is already at Diamond League Tier 2. When I saw this I kind of figured I would be heading to the showers early. But thanks to a lot of luck and some favorable Mana/Battle Rules I won both battles and advanced to Round Three.

Once again luck was on my side in Round Three as my opponent never stepped into the arena. On to Round Four, where my opponent was @relict-gull a Silver League Tier 2 combatant. I was able to win both matches, one by using a team combination I had learned in a tournament earlier today.

Hello Sweet 16! In Round Five I once again faced a higher rated opponent, @handtalk5, who is currently in the Gold League Tier 2. I was a little worried since I remebered recently suffering a rather humiliating defeat at the hands of @handtalk5 in a tournament a couple days ago. But I cinched up my belt and stepped bravely in the arena to face him anyway. Fortunately Lady Luck guided my team selection and I was victorious in spite of my rather strange tactics which including selecting a Level 1 Furious Chicken to play tank in one of the matches.

Round Six paired me against @byzantinekitty. I felt more confident in this match since I was going against an equally ranked opponent. Once again I received some favorable Mana and Battle rules and I was victorious winning two out of the three battles and advancing to the Final Four. Sadly, that's where my dreams of the Tournament championship ended as @deathcloud defeated me in two quick battles.

As usual, I'll be donating some of my winnings from the tournament to my Guild

to help level up our Guild Hall. We have one opening if anyone is looking to join a top guild.

The rest of the winnings I'll using to purchase more cards in the market to level up my deck. Most likely Alpha cards. A Summoner if I can afford one.
