Splinterlands Journey Continued

After our most recent Splinterlands event hosted by Calbayog Splinterlands PH at the Mango Lounge & Estates, we received a lot of positive feedback not only from the local demographic but also from other parts of the Philippines. They expressed interest in what we were doing over here as videos and photos had been posted by participants of the tournaments and guests on various social media sites. @xacex, founder and admin of Splinterlands PH (Facebook page with 40,000 members) reached out and requested a meetup, in which I obliged. I had been planning to take a short trip to Manila for business and pleasure, why not take the opportunity to meet members of the largest existing Splinterlands Communities here in the Philippines.

We met in Starbucks (How I missed their coffee) and I must say it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience to meet someone so passionate about the game and the community as well as the opportunities that this blockchain game offers. We were in conversation for 3 hours and to be honest if I didn't have other commitments, we probably could have spoken for a lot longer than that. It was apparent that we saw mutual benefit and discussed the potential of joining forces later down the line with the purpose of unifying the community in the long run. I would act as an arbitrator between Splinterlands PH and Splinterlands Calbayog PH (Our new founded DAO), and would assist in contacting other Guild / Community Leaders throughout the Philippines, sort of like a Call to Arms, which I thought was a positive step in the right direction. One of my main interests is the tournament aspects of the game, imagine a Federation built with a strong foundation is which the Best Players in all regions could join, participate, train and eventually represent the Philippines in E Sports.

He asked us to post on his page where possible, to build awareness of a potential collaboration. One our main investors, @lvlup will be livestreaming on Splinterlands PH from 7pm tonight, where he will be viewed by a much larger audience, expect a lot more giveaways. We, as in Splinterlands Calbayog PH, have been live streaming game play on a daily basis (A few of our active members) and have a live stream event for our local community every Sunday. This will be the first one open to our extended community, I wish everyone luck and thank you for having us.

I will be returning to Manila in about 6 weeks time, it was suggested that @xacex and I would meet again and perhaps also an opportunity to meet other members of the community. Although it's great to have communication online, its much better to break bread in person.

Our next Localized Splinterlands Event will be hosted on the 19th April 2022. @chatter as always has been very supportive and has offered his assistance prior to the event. We will be livestreaming this also to allow viewers to see the possibilities through a solid community, and @xacex will be providing us with a short introduction video for our players prior to the start of the event.
