Splinterlands - Water Vs Fire
The parameters for this battle were as follows:
- Mana Cap = 23
- Close Range: Ranged attacks may be used in the first position.
The battlefield looked like this:
My team was outnumbered and one of my monsters has no attack. I was using it as a shield for my back-line monsters. I was also relying on my first monster holding out as long as possible. The Serpent Of Eld has the Dodge ability, which gives it an increased chance of evading melee and ranged attacks. I really needed this ability to come through.
My optimism quickly faded when, on the very first move, my opponent's Sneak monster eliminated my monster in the last position. By the end of the first round, I had lost another combatant. Again, it was my card in the last position. It was now six against three! My Serpent Of Eld was my only hope now. Would it become the Most Valuable Monster(MVM)? Or, would it suffer the same fate as my back-line cards?
