Vote amphlux for SPS Validator — an old-school player running his own node

Oldschool
I've been around a long time. I go back to the Steem days, before Hive was Hive, back when a lot of us were figuring out what a blockchain game could even be. I've watched Splinterlands grow from a curiosity into one of the most-played games on any chain. I'm still here. I still open packs. I still get salty when I brick a ruleset I should've won. I genuinely love this game, and I want to
see it win.

Gotta Showoff
And I've got the binders to prove it. I've been collecting since the original editions — my Alpha & Beta sets go back to the first print runs, the ones you can't get anymore:

I also collect for the pure fun of it — not everything has to be about the meta. Here's my themed Dwarfz binder, just because I like them:

So when I say I'm invested, I don't mean a spreadsheet. I mean years of cards, seasons, and stake. I mean genuine love. And now I've done the thing I believe in most: I stood up my own validator node.
Why I'm running a node
Not as a business. Not as a reseller. I run my own self-hosted infrastructure — my own hardware, my own hands on it — because I think decentralization only means something when actual players participate, not just the big shops. The SPS Validator network is how the game secures its own economy going forward, and I'd rather help hold that up than watch from the sidelines.
I'm a builder by nature. I self-host, I tinker, I read the source before I trust it. My node runs in irreversible mode, syncs against multiple independent Hive RPC nodes, and I keep it honest and up to date. If something breaks, I'm the one who notices — because it's mine, on my machine, and I actually care whether it stays up.
Why vote for me
- I'm a real player, not a landlord. I've got skin in this game the long way — Alpha/Beta cards from the first editions, staked SPS, a collection I actually play, and years of showing up. My incentives are the game's incentives.
- Independent infrastructure. Self-hosted on my own hardware. More independent operators = a harder network to capture, and that's the whole point.
- Transparent and hands-on. I run the node myself, watch it myself, and I'm reachable. No black box, no middleman staking service taking a cut.
- Here for the long haul. I didn't show up for the airdrop. I've been here through the quiet stretches and I'm not going anywhere.
How to help
