My experience the past 2 months

Intro

Well where to start, first of all it was a bumpy start.
I played for a few days and wanted to quit. I did not like the progress not earning any cards and win rate very low. So I quit pulled out my money (a few bucks).

Then i started to watch more YouTube videos, and learning more about the game but also block-chain games in general. I noticed i'm not the only one experiencing these difficulties. Especially getting money into the game and getting out bronze. Slowly i understood more about the game mechanics and the hive block-chain.

So i entered the game again with a little more money. I started earning some SPS airdrop points and i could buy/rent some cards to get out of bronze.

Money aspect

Getting money into the game is quite cumbersome

For starters it is difficult to get money into the game after that is hard to play your way out of bronze. There are meny youtube video on exactly how todo this.

Here is is my recipe to get money into the game.
money_flow.png

  • Buy LTC on Bybit (spot)
  • Withdraw LTC in bytbit to blocktrade account (now HIVE is on your hive wallet)
  • Deposit via LeoDex into HIVE engine (i choose leodex because of the 0.25% fee)
  • Swap HIVE to DEC with Tribaldex (or SPS whatever is needed)
  • Then in splinterlands transfer DEC from hive engine into the game.

Ppfff that are a lot of steps and if you not familiar with crypto and blockchain this stuff it is hard :), and even a bit scary to see and wait if transaction are coming trough. So suggestion is to start first with a small amount.

Game

I like cards game, so also this one. Played in the past hearthstone and MTG, real cards and online.
My goal is to slowly grow my account to play in higher leagues and have fun along the way, that is the main goal :).

Then how to get out of bronze. Easy way is to buy good summoners and cards. Or rent cards. Only renting is even hard especially with all the cancels you will get, especially at the end of the season.

My summoners i like to play and leveled up to lvl 2 are:

Where am I now:
Currently owning 9000 CP and renting 6000 to play in silver this is where in my opinion the fun of the game starts. You get paid enough to get your rental fee back (at least at the beginning of the season). And you earn some cards toward getting the 15000cp for yourself to be less dependent on rentals. This might take a while but i don't mind. When the prices keep dropping i probably will be buying towards 15000CP and continue from there.

Community

This is where i got surprised. There are many communities that are willing to share knowledge and help new players.
There are also some nice giveaways, i even got one chaos pack from @clove71 which contains 2 summoners, that is really great for a starters :)

Here are my communities that i like to follow:
Youtube/Discord:

Furthermore in participating in some posting on hive blogs will get some $ in return to reinvest in the game.
Every week i try to post the battle challenge, e.g: Share your Battle Challenge.
And just starting (with this post) also to post for social media challenge, e.g. Social Media Challenge

Lets see if i can buy some chaos packs with the hive earnings, that would be great :)

Conclusion

We are two months further and I'm really hooked into the game. Even now I see my value is getting less every day, declining overall crypto market. I have fun playing the game and collecting more cards for my deck to play. Also this leaves us with nice opportunity to buy low :)

My first goal is to own my own 15000 CP hopefully with some lvl 4 summoners or a lvl 2 Quix. So I can hopefully easily maintain in silver and grow from there.

Thanks all for the read, see you all on the battlefield.

I always buy Hive on Binace and use Splinterlands to convert my Hive to DEC... but there are several ways.
