Land Situation in Splinterlands

Last December 8, 2021, I finally became a land owner. It was a really awesome thing since I managed to scrounge up the funds by selling Chaos Legion Packs. I was able to purchase a PLOT for 673.6 USD. You can check out the article here: "I am now a Splinterlands Land Owner!"

Earlier today I decided to check out how much plots go for nowadays.

To my surprise, it was going for around 340 USD. That's an almost 50% drop in value! When I bought the plot back in December, I honestly didn't expect the value to drop this much. Well, a bear market is a bear market for a reason. Right now, if I had the same amount of money I could've even bought 2 for the price of 1! Well, there is no medicine in the world for regret.

Should I buy more?

I was honestly contemplating this question. It's no secret that land will be an important part in the updates to come, but as I've got most of my money in SPS, I probably won't buy more. If SPS decides to go to 1 USD suddenly, heck I'll buy a few plots!

For now...

Let's just wait. I probably will find a way to buy another one. One to claim the plot while the other to sell. I honestly expect the value of land to do a 2-3x once it gets released, so there's that as a solid investment!

Really good post, keep up the good work! My upvote isn't worth a lot because I still building my HP on the account.
I have also bought two plots of land just in case. I think that bulding the deck is now more imortant. Why?

  1. Once the airdop and private sell ends, then SPS will be mainly earned from the Ranked Battles reward pool and will go to the player who won the battle.
  2. In addition you need max. level of summoner to put monster at max level on your plot in order to get the best rewards.
  3. Cards are cheaper now comparing to priceses before general sale. 3 months ago I paid 30CP per 1$, curently I can buy same card for 180 CP per 1$. I think curds will go up in value more than land but this only my personal opinion.

Hi thanks for the comment! Yeah I highly agree that now is the best time to buy cards, but plots should definitely not be forgotten! Also, I'm excited for you to see the brawl report! Thank you for sharing it in the discord! Expect the post by tomorrow!
