SPS Governance Proposal - Allocate Packs for SummerFest

The purpose of this proposal is to enable the SPS DAO to vote on allocating some of its reserve packs to be used during the upcoming SummerFest sale. This sale will be similar to WinterFest with exclusive skins, glint, energy and more. The pricing of the packages will equate to higher than retail value for the packs alone and this could be a great opportunity for the DAO to convert some idle assets into dollars to help further fund the ongoing proposal to hire the team and buy the IP.

Proposal

If this proposal passes, the SPS DAO will allocate the following packs to be used in the upcoming SummerFest event:

  • Conclave Arcana Standard Packs - 12,000
  • Conclave Arcana Alchemy Packs - 4,000
  • Conclave Arcana Legendary Packs - 2,000
  • Rebellion Packs - 20,000

The packs will be transferred to the $SUMMERFEST26 system account for escrow for the duration of this event.

All proceeds from the sale of the Summerfest Boxes will go directly to the DAO. These proceeds will be in excess of the retail value of any packs sold because the boxes will include other items such as Skins, Glint, Energy, and Fortune Draws.

Once the event concludes, any unsold packs will be returned to the @sps.dao account.

I support this proposal, hoever I would suggest to use also 20,000 Riftwatchers Packs for this event.

A little confused... on the winterfest gifts it was said that once the CA packs were sold out you would get... I think equivalent DEC instead? So... it looks like the CA packs are packs being held by the Dao... what happens if people hold on to the gifts? (I'm assuming these will be similar to the winterfest gift packs - set as an item to be gifted to others and/or be opened later.)
Neat Idea.
oh and I would also second the post below about possibly adding esc packs.

So the DAO wont have any more CA packs after? I would have thought the DAO would have had more packs.

Prices they would be sold for? currency? Feels like they should be sold for credits or USDC?

Those funds wont count towards paying the DAO back for the team funding, corect, just converting packs to payable assets?

I would only support this proposal if the summerfest items were sold for USDC/USDT/HBD or Credits. I do not want the SPS DAO to load up on more DEC/SPS for these packs.

These packs are EXTREMELY valuable, as they have the remaining balance of high-end BFAs still in them. These should be handled with more care and a more explicit pricing structure. We won't need to add a bunch of nonsense skins & prizes to jack up the price of the prize packs when there is already a huge incentive to buy them since they are out of print.

I've mentioned countless times that these packs would be great for tournament prizing, where we could also raise significant stablecoin capital by charging it as the entry fee for the event. I'm downvoting until we see more concrete pricing information.
