The future Ethereum transition to PoS is the only hope GU has. Otherwise it just won't scale. Period.
What Steem needs is smooth fiat onboarding. Many front ends already have guest accounts, which is a way for an app to act as a middleman. It's contrary to crypto ideology but who cares what color a cat is as long as it catches mice.
