My Battle of the Day- Steemmonsters

Today I kept steady at gold III rank, but one battle I had and got a win is worth reviewing. A battle that basically added 62 points to my rating!

Life Formation Versus Earth Formation


The battle handicap was only common and rare card could be used.

I went with my strongest splinter in Life. (Most of my Life monsters are above level 1.) For my form I had Silvershield Paladin at first position to protect the middle and back end of the formation. The second thru fifth position monsters were setup to attack in the first round. I had Divine Healer to round out the formation.

From experience my opponent picked a very good formation against Life with Earth splinter. He/she used Mech. Goblin at the front and behind it with three monsters with magic attack. All my opponent monsters were also leveled up pretty well. So first impression was this is a lost for me.

Round 2


After first round not much changed in the formation except for the chicken dying. So now my six against my opponent's five monsters. My shield is almost nullified with Mech. Goblin able to pierce through toughness and magic attacks at the middle of the pack.

Round 3


After second round my opponent's Wood Nymph is knocked out. Now they have no more healers. Mech. Goblin is out of thoughness so will likely get killed in next round, but my Silvershield Paladin is out thoughness too and low on life. Let see how the next round goes...

Round 4


Not a surprise both our first position monster is out of the match. With most of my formation still intact this looks pretty good for me.

Round 5


My opponent's fate is sealed. Knocking out two more monsters while I lost my Divine Healer. It is now a four against one. Nothing more to take out that bird!

Round 6


Surprise that we made it to the sixth round. All my monster's attacks missed due to them attacking a flying monster. Hope next round we will not miss...

There you have it. A win I got and an insane 62 points added to my rating. Happy the way this battle turned out ;)
