Back in the Splinterlands Market!

After siting on the sidelines for a couple of months, I have come back to the one Dapp I have always enjoyed since it's launch, Splinterlands! In order to catch up, there was a bit of shopping to do as the development team continues to evolve the game and expand the community. As an investor and collector, it has been very exciting to watch!

My first step was to get into the land FOMO! Despite already having been lucky with a pool of community members in the first presale, I decided to buy some credits and get another tract of land before the discount was completely over. I still think that lands may be a key to opportunities for many players in the future. Not sure where it will go, but many are excited.

Next, was to work on completing my Collection which has always been my priority with the game. This has always been an expensive proposition for me as some cards have been costly for me to get given some of the rarer cards to get. Since I have not bought any Dice packs due to holding DEC for lands, I decided to search among the community and markets for the cards. It is amazing how some members of the community know the markets so well and create collections just to sell. I decided to go all in and buy a completely maxed set for the moment although I do believe I will try to buy packs in the future.

Last but not least, I took the DEC I had left to try some farming for more. With the recent announcement of more DEC inflation for those that provide liquidity, I decided that I wanted to participate despite being hesitant in the past. I think I missed a good opportunity in the last round of the Uniswap rewards so decided to jump in this time to continue my accumulation of DEC which will remain a key part of the ecosystem in the future.

Just like that, I am back into the grove of this great community and development. I continue to be encourage with the future of the game from both an investor and player perspective. Despite the continued personal focus of mine being elsewhere at this point, this is a project I remain committed to now and in the long term. The opportunity seems too great to miss given how Blockchain and gaming continue to have attention in these times.
