Spoiler alert - the chicken survives!

Well... at least mine did! 😁 For this week's share your battle challenge, probably one of the most used cards in the game!

The Furious Chicken is the only zero mana card in the game; this means you have two rules to use the chicken:

Rule number 1 - Whenever there's a free slot after you've assembled your team, use the damn chicken!

Rule number 2 - Don't forget to used the chicken; read rule number 1!!

And that's basically it!

Hey, what about the stats?

On the very very rare ocasion, one furious chicken will be the last monster standing, delivering the killing blow. But most of the time, she will be used as cannon fodder:

  • In the back, as a burner for the sneak attacks
  • In the front, especially if you have a slow tank, to absorb the first blow.

So, given its role, stats are not that important, except for one detail: the chicken starts with zero melee, and gains melee attack at level 3. Why is this important? Because at level 1 or 2, the chicken can be use as a cannon fodder for snipe attacks too!

This means if you have a golden chicken (the minimum level for the golden chicken is 3), the ability to absorb snipe attacks is gone; on the other hand, you have a 10% bonus on the DEC every time you use her!

Since I have a golden chicken, I just use her normally in the positions I've mentioned before. In a few rulesets she's also useful in other positions, such as an offtank in equaliser ruleset.

In this battle, I used her in her common place: back row!

Rulesets:

  • Only common and rare monsters
  • No heals

How did I played this one? YOLO mode!

  • Exploding dwarf in the front, hoping to achieve the highest damage before death, making way to the real tank
  • Cerebrus as tank
  • Flame Imp for the speed buff and magical attack
  • Kobold miner as sneak attack
  • Chicken as... cannon fodder!

Luckily for me, my opponent only had the (slow) tank targeting my tank! So what happened? Mayhem!!

First strike, and the opponent's chicken is history. The thorns from the werewolf would prove fatal for my sneak strategy. But since there were no sneakers in the opposite team, the chicken was safe for the time being!

And since this was a low mana battle, most of the other team's monsters had low mana and low health! That with a strong blast meant...

The dwarf did its magic again! He decimated the entire team, only falling before the werewolf. And from there, it was an easy win for Cerberus and the Imp, with the chicken cheering in the back!

You can see the entire battle here!

Do you use your chicken in any other way? Let me know!

PS. only now I saw the price of the golden chicken!! Insane!

See you on the battlefield! πŸ˜‰
