Splinterlands - Back to the Grain!
So having jiggled all my cards about to get in on LAND cards which was fun, I ended up keeping only 3 of them, I was a few short of a fourth L5 I think it was, which is my level of common Land card as I'm only someone that's got a mere $20K of assets in the game, not worth me levelling up higher than that really.
I sold a fare few and bought a fare few gold chaos rares, my kind of level.... I know have..
- almost 100 cards at 4K PP or above
- around 40 cards at 6K PPP or above.
That's enough to have reasonably good production on 25 plots pretty much!

I used some basic math to double check what Beaker's charts were telling me: that you're operating a loss if you're producing anything other than Grain ATM.... CHEAPER to pile your best cards on grain and then buy the resources I think...

But because that's not really the spirit of the game and because I don't want my other plots sitting idle - I can't afford to sell and buy SUPER CARDS for just all my best grain plots, I'm sure the other resource plots will be profitable again in the future...
I had been focussing on producing just enough resources to make enough Aura to produce and sell wagons, but honestly I think i'm now better off reducing the aura and just focussing on grain and stacking some of the other resources....
I think the best move is to kind of honour the game and produce wood/ stone/ iron and then ATM poool it!
Having said that I have moved by high power cards to mainly grain, but in this order.....
- Highest PP on Legendary/ Epic
- Next Highest PP on rares
- Then Aura
- Then whatever else, with the highest on grain.
This is something of an experiment and I will let you know how it goes in terms of making some dollar dollar!
Agree! Got two new grain plots for only 12,5$ today. Gotta build, that's true, but I'll get that done quickly. Looking forward to running them!
Im to messing around with the high pp and high quality plots and boosts. I have a feeling in 2.0 there will be no pp cap on base pp and then some of the cards I have i can use to get more than 100k pp base and use the best boost I have on one to really max that out then second best on the next and once I have my 3 runi used up with my best boosted plots leg and 2 epics then just regular grain plots fill up the ones in my territory of my keep with the best pp for dollar i can buy and assess whether buying boosts is cheap enough if not dont buy them just buy another cheap plot as 2000 pp cards are much cheaper than 20000 pp cards on a per pp basis and I ended up buying when PP was much more expensive so my overall ROI is terrible like 10% or something for the risk its not good but the best I can get as selling is pretty hard bc the cards like a 40k pp card is hard to sell for what or something near what i paid for it right now and I am better of getting DEC every hour on land with-it than I ham letting it hold up in the listed section. I want to create a some sort of bot that allows ppl to register bids and asks on a separate market place then when there to far apart the bot would contact each seller and let them know they have a bid at x price are they willing to come down to something closer and throw out a price then go back and present that if good then have them move the cards to escrow within 5 days and have the sale take place for a % of the sales price 1=2% in what ever currency is used HIVE, DEC, SPS, HBD etc an also force collateral put up equal to the deal that gets returned unless one of the people screws the other in that case the collateral is taken out and used to cover the other person with a small fee going to the app so probably need a small overcollateralized on each side insurance policy that doesn't get sent back until each side says ok. Maybe that will generate some decent revenue and fees from a alternate card sales method. Also thought about a sort of grain futures token on tribal dex which would be interesting and it settles in usd or dec.
i'm more of a mid range player - 4K PP is what i'm after - so amxed chaos rares! So many possibilities grain futures certainly interesting! I quite like pooling ATM
