I can't believe it! I'm actually managed to clock into Diamond again! This time, I got in a day or two before the end of the season... so, it was a bit of a tough choice to go for the daily and risk the greater Diamond payout... or to just take a two day steem-monsters holiday! Obviously, I opted for NO holiday... RISK IT ALL!

Anyway, I still managed to finish out in Diamond and pick up a nice drop of Reward tier cards...

Season Drops

Unfortunately, there wasn't that much that was of real quality... I did pick up a Gold Foil Serpentine Mystic... a card that I still haven't found a place to play... it needs a Dragon Splinter Summoner... and often, I just don't have spare 3 mana to play a card that is currently weaker than other 3 mana options!

The Imp Bowman and Phantom Soldier were nice drops... one step closer to leveling these cards, but it is still a slow process at this stage with the slow drop rate of Epic cards and the higher requirements of leveling a Level 4/5 Epic card.

However, the Manticore drop was pretty damn awesome! It allowed my Manticore to bumped up to Level 4, which meant that it aqcuired a new skill... Thorns! Skills are always a nice quantum boost to a card's playability and usefulness... sure, extra health, speed or attack is nice but these are little improvements. A new skill gives a great deal more power!

Interesting Daily Drops

I picked up a few of the regular foil Serpentine Mystics in the Daily Quest rewards... however, they were quickly superseded by the Gold Foil drop, which starts at level 3. It is possible that over time, the regular foils will get more powerful... but for the moment, the Gold Foil is a better pick... but still too weak to consider as a real choice for a game!

I have to say that this was a pretty epic drop for the day... what is better than a Silvershield Assassin? A GOLD Silvershield Assassin! ... but the fun didn't stop there! A much loved Black Dragon drop... and also a Gold Baby Unicorn! I haven't had such a decent drop from the Daily Quest for quite some time!

The Baby Unicorn is an interesting card... but at the moment, it suffers from the same problem as the Gold Serpentine monster from the Dragon Splinter... there are just other more useful and powerful cards in my deck that I would prefer to play over the Baby Unicorn... but is oh so cute... and definitely not in the teenage Anger phase either!

This was another interesting Daily Drop... my first Fire Spitter card... another cute little guy... but again at 4 mana, it is too weak for me consider playing at the moment. However, my Dragon splinter is starting to flesh out a bit more. It is starting to become a decent splinter, and I should start thinking about leveling the summoner so that I can take full advantage of the Dragon Daily Quests.

A couple of Untamed packs

In the last season, I did manage to save up enough DEC to purchase 3 Untamed packs at 2000 DEC each. Sadly, none of them produced much that was of interest... I'm starting to wonder if I should consider leveling the summoners here.. I am doing the monsters, but the summoners I'm just holding and making only the use of the regular Beta summoners as they have a high enough level to give me a competitive edge.
