Wednesday Walk make me smile post - Beaverbrook trails

This post is for Wednesday walk challenge And Make me Smile Collaboration challenge, initially our collaboration was once a month but due to the popularity of it we have decided to make the collab a weekly thing :)

Wednesday Walk is a challenge started by me, the idea is to get out for a short walk and get some shots of what you can see within a short distance of your home office or wherever you start. And this is my entry for this week, but first, let me explain the challenge.

This is my post for the Wednesday Walk challenge hosted by myself, let me first explain the guidelines

Try and get out once a week for a short walk, can be from your office, home or anywhere really and walk for a few blocks or a few minutes looking for things to get shots of.

Your walk does not have to be on a Wednesday I just ask if possible to share your walk photos on a Wednesday.

Try and get a few shots not just one

You can look for anything in general or decide on one subject you want to get shots off.

Try to limit yourself to a set distance or time from the starting location, say 5 Blocks, 5 Minutes walk or whatever and see what you can find in that short distance

Make a point of looking around and up and see what you can find to get shots of that otherwise you may miss

Do a post with the shots you get on a Wednesday and tag it with #wednesdaywalk, also if you happen to join, please leave a link to your post in a comment on this post and I will try and visit them all.

Following me and resteeming the post so more see it would be appreciated but isn't a rule just a suggestion, but you may have a better chance of receiving a Steem Basic Income Share if you do.

I am not strict on these rules and hence why they are called guidelines and not rules

I will try and visit, and upvote all who take part in the Wednesday Walk, plus I will be sending @steembasicincomeshares to a selection of those who participate.

Actifit

A good App that works well in conjunction with the Wednesday Walk or any day walk is @actifit, which rewards you with Actifit Tokens and Steemit Upvotes, if you use the app to track your steps and do a post of your actifit total each day.

If you do a lot of activity I do recommend you check it out

Make me Smile Collaboration

As I mentioned above Wednesday Walk is collaborating with the [Make Me Smile] hosted by @elizacheng,
On the third Wednesday of the month out two challenges will collaborate so if you combine the two into one post you have double the fun

Here are the rules for her challenge

Your post can be writing, singing, video, poem,drawing, photography etc.... the most important part is your post Make me" smile, Remember, the ME is whoever read/view/listen to your post and this includes YOURSELF.
b. Your content must be ORIGINAL CONTENT

c. Please include at least 50 Words in your post

This weeks walk Beaverbrook trails

This weeks walk is around one of the trails here in Milford Beaverbrook trails, and follows on from yesterdays Tree Tuesday post, and this post continue son my walk around this just reopened park, as I mentioned yesterday the park has a boardwalk over the marsh

This trail was destroyed in 2002 when a fire ravaged the park and destroyed the boardwalk, and this year it has been rebuilt, the only sign of the fire I saw on the walk was this stump, its amazing how nature can rejuvenate itself

The Boardwalk is quite long, it turns and continues at the end of this section, the whole park is such a pleasure ot visit, especially this day before it officially reoped and I was the only one on the trails and boardwalk

Weekly giveaway of shares

That is a really awesome boardwalk. You should go hunting for morel mushrooms. They say they grow where there was once a fire.

Exceptional beauty along the trail, the wooden boardwalk looks grand and sturdy. Through the lens you have taken a lovely route today JJ, fires in our part of the world happen quite often with seasonal burning to allow fresh life to grow through.

It is such a lovely walkway especially when the odors were out like this

Yes natural wildfires are a way of nature to replenish fr sure, but this fire was caused by stupid actions of people inthe park sadly

Too many areas suffering raging fires from stupidity. It does look a lovely place that will attract a lot of wildlife if looked after.

Fantastic photographs of that place, I am impressed by the color of the surrounding vegetation. Really, a beautiful place to walk.

What a wonderfull colours.... I managed to log in on steempeak, and there is no comparison with the pictures I see on steemit... (although I still have problems login in, but maybe a solution is in sight)
Anyway, as I said, this are insane and !DERANGED colours... I need a !BEER right now because it looks as if I made that walk 😉😂

So cool, that you had the whole place for you alone. This way could could take alle the time you needed and didn't have to care about people walking by and disturbing you.

I got lucky with it still being closed, I drove bu it last weekend and it was open and it seems like everyone was there to check it out from what I saw driving by

I think with !DERANGED you can give one per 5 coins you have so I am in good shape to give quite a few a day up to 25 I think

Yes, that's true too, because Steem Engine is not very user friendly in my eyes. I claim rewards and stake the tokens with SteemWorld.

I just wrote a sentence without using !DERANGED and I didn't have any !BEER ;) lol

Yes, SteemWorld is the best tool around ... and not to forget SteemReply, of course 🙂
We have been !DERANGED before the token was born, but I think it has made us worse, even without !BEER ;)

Those are some happy photos right there !

Love all the color and how fun the picture's are when you take them low down the boardwalk. The colorful trees background helps add a bit of specialness to them too.

Wowzers! You got some amazing fall foliage shots, @tattoodjay! The first shot of the boardwalk, and that last shot of the trail are my favorites. You're right, you'd never guess that there was a fire back in 2002 - nature is truly amazeballs!

Wonderful photographs! That first one is fantastic!
I want to let you know that I have been unable to WALK for two months, or I would still be posting on Wednesdays for your contest. I have old photos of a walk I haven't taken for at least a year but used to take daily with my dogs. Would those work?

Wow! The first photo is stunning and so colorful! I think you need to hang that one on your wall. And that stump is incredible! Thanks, the trouble is I don't have much space left where I live now to hang photos with all the ones I have up, maybe our new place when we move will have more space :)

LOL A gallery is a little out of my budget, we will probably move closer tot he kids and grandkids , still inNew England but a couple of hours away from where we are now

I haven't been to many of the beaches where we will most likely move to, but yes it is still near the Coast and I am sure i will find nice spots for my walks and photos :)

Yes indeed, they had blocked off the car park, so I parked about 1/3 of a mile away and walked to it I didnt see a sign saying it was closed, or I chose to ignore the sign LOL
