Today, I sold my Byzantine Kitty
After a lot of thinking, I decided today to pull the trigger and to sell my only copy of Byzantine Kitty. I had it on the market for quite some time but nobody bought it. That's why today, I decided to sell it to the highest bidder.

For how many $ you have bought it? I think selling for 197$ is a good price point.

It must be hard to part with the card, but without it being levelled up, it is hard to put it to good use.
That's true. Either I invest several hunderd $ to upgrade the card or I sell the single one remaining :-)
Yes, it depends on your strategy if that is worth it. I still didn't really play with the kitty, so don't know.

Just kidding... If you don't use it, there is no sense to keep it... I have probably a lot of cards like that, but I'm lazy to create sell orders and sell them :D
Since I got it in a pack (do you remember we once bought tons of packs together lol) it wasn't that expensive :-)

The way we see it is that everything is priced low, but you've still got a good price, so you've sale it into the market. $197 price is very good.

Selling your card at a low price in order to reinvest it in HIVE isn't such a bad deal tbh. The value of SPL assets are pretty much tied to HIVE, so I wouldn't worry too much about losing the expected rise in card value in the short/medium term.
I also see it like that. Hive and SPL NFT's are evolving pretty much in parallel lately. Since I can't play the card and rental income is pretty insignifiant, I think it was a good step :-)
It makes sense for you to sell that card if you can't use the card and good luck on your Hive goals. It's too bad that your back is still causing you issues and it will push you back on your goals. The DEC burning event has definitely been pushing up the price of DEC and I wonder the supply of DEC just continues to drop.
Supply of DEC is definitely getting smaller every week. I think the price of DEC will really climb once there is something to buy or when land 1.5 comes out.
Yea. I wonder if SPS will get a huge boost once the DEC supply gets low enough.
That's what the team expects. We will see how these plans translate into reality :-)
I think you've taken a good decision. A 1 BCX Kitty wouldn't be very useful and by investing DEC in HIVE, you won't miss the growth during the bull market.
Consider if it's a good option for you to use part of those DEC for the burning event. Haven't checked what is the multiplier right now, but if you need a stash of guild points plus eventually some chances to win other prizes (I wouldn't make my calculations based on that), maybe that's an option, only for part of the DEC.
It's a good question to check about investing some DEC into the burn event. I think for the moment I will probably just keep the DEC and swap some every day into hive as long as DEC value is still high in respect to hive. Like that I will get closer to my goals :-)

Definitely a good move! Feels like there are lesser and lesser players in Splinterlands - battles taking longer to matchmake, lesser players playing brawls in my guild or not submitting teams, just the sense I am getting. I think card prices will drop further when Rebellion comes out.
I also think that card prices will tank even more before we see a big change. I believe we would need a bull market for that :-)
I think it was only a logical next step to sell. I mean if you cannot make really use of it... no point in keeping it.
BUT the point of time... with card prices down and DEC already rather high it is not the best point of time for selling, is it?
I've been trying to sell it for a couple of months already but price was just going down continously. I don't expect a big change of tendency in the coming weeks. That's why I pulled the trigger. Hope I won't regret ;-)
