Saludos amigos de #hive y #alienart, espero estén pasando una semana increíble, el día de hoy les comparto mi entrada al concurso semanal de splinterlands, dibujando esta semana a Lord Arianthus, personaje que llamó mi atención por ser una cabeza encerrada en un contenedor. Al ver la imagen lo primero que me hizo pensar fue en futurama, donde habían muchos contenedores con cabezas de famosos, manteniendo con vida, por eso es increíble que splinterlands tenga un personaje con estas cualidades, demostrando que sus personajes son de verdad muy diversos.

Greetings friends of #hive and #alienart, I hope you are having an incredible week, today I share with you my entry to the splinterlands weekly contest, drawing this week Lord Arianthus, a character that caught my attention for being a head locked in a container. When I saw the image the first thing that made me think of futurama, where there were many containers with heads of famous people, keeping them alive, so it is incredible that splinterlands has a character with these qualities, showing that their characters are really very diverse.

Decidí realizar a Lord Arianthus como si despertara del sueño que se le ve en su imagen principal, conmocionado, despertando con una expresión de ira, casi como si quisiera salir del contenedor. Hice los ojos de verde brillante para que se viese como si irradiara energía de ellos, además de hacerle los ojos irritados, sobre todo por el hecho del contrato de ellos con el líquido en el que se encuentra sumergido. Otra de las cosas que también pensé de este personaje, es que la forma de su rostro parece de un genio o hechicero, razón por la que hacerle los ojos como si irradiará energía me pareció la idea increíble, y que sería una buena forma de representar esta idea en la ilustración.

I decided to make Lord Arianthus as if he was waking up from the dream seen in his main image, shocked, waking up with an angry expression, almost as if he wanted to get out of the container. I made the eyes bright green to make it look like he was radiating energy from them, as well as making his eyes irritated, especially because of the fact of the contract of them with the liquid he is immersed in. Another thing that I also thought of this character, is that the shape of his face looks like a genie or sorcerer, which is why I thought that making his eyes as if they radiated energy was an incredible idea, and that it would be a good way to represent this idea in the illustration.

Realice la base del dibujo con el lápiz digital, usando azul en la forma, rosado para el rostro y morado para la cápsula.

I made the base of the drawing with the digital pencil, using blue for the shape, pink for the face and purple for the capsule.

Realice el trabajo de línea con el color negro y la tinta dura, después elimine las capas previas y realice la base de color, utilizando el rellenador, aplicando los tonos correspondientes en cada area.

Make the line work with the black color and the hard ink, then remove the previous layers and make the color base, using the filler, applying the corresponding tones in each area.

Aplique una capa de manchas, realizada con el óleo suave, buscando la tonalidad de piel, pero conservando tonos azules y verdes. Después aplique otra capa con acuarelas, agregando sombras y degradando más los otros tonos.

Apply a layer of stains, made with the soft oil, looking for the skin tone, but keeping blue and green tones. Then apply another layer with watercolors, adding shadows and further degrading the other tones.

Con el aerógrafo continuó detallando el rostro, eliminando las líneas negras y agregando más luz y profundidad. Después aplique la base de las cejas y el cabello, detallando con tonos más claros y oscuros. Finalizando con el detalle de los ojos, los cuales realice con varios tonos de verde, y negro y blanco para darles profundidad y brillo.

With the airbrush continue detailing the face, eliminating the black lines and adding more light and depth. Then apply the base of the eyebrows and hair, detailing with lighter and darker tones. Finishing with the detail of the eyes, which I made with various shades of green, and black and white to give them depth and brightness.

Detalle la parte del agua con varios tonos entre azul y verde, utilizando las acuarelas de mezcla y de agua. Después con el aerógrafo realice los toques de luz. Después detalle los bordes metálicos con óleo y aerógrafo.

Detail the part of the water with various shades of blue and green, using the watercolors of mixture and water. Then with the airbrush make the highlights. Then detail the metallic edges with oil and airbrush.

Para el fondo realice una base de negro, degradando con tonos korados, azules verdes, pero manteniendo un tono oscuro, para que los otros detalles se vean brillantes.

For the background I made a base of black, degrading with shades of purple, blue and green, but keeping a dark tone, so that the other details look bright.

Para esta ilustración decidí empezar a trabajar sin líneas, eliminando las a medida que voy realizando los detalles, y de verdad adoro como queda el resultado final, sin duda me encanta lo escalofriante que se ve el personaje y la ira en su rostro. También utilice varios pinceles, como óleos, acuarelas, un difuminador, a diferencia de que usualmente trabajo con el aerógrafo. For this illustration I decided to start working without lines, eliminating them as I make the details, and I really love how the final result looks, without a doubt I love how creepy the character looks and the anger in his face. I also used various brushes, such as oils, watercolors, a blender, unlike I usually work with the airbrush.
