For Splinterlands, I think you'll earn back the $10 then start profit if you played every day, but it's hard to do it if you only bought the starter pack, you won't win reward cards unless you bought or rented enough cards to reach the bronze level.

If you're not confident in this game, I recommend renting, but buying is the better for long-term, because you can always sell them back and recover at least most of your money.

These were my newbie advises as a Splinterlands player who doesn't play much anymore.
