Summoner Focus

In this edition of the Social Media Challenge, I want to introduce you to a Legendary Summoner from the Fire Splinter, proudly representing the Chaos Legion collection: say hello to CONQUEROR JACEK 👀

CONQUEROR JACEK is a Summoner I often employ in specific rulesets to significantly boost my chances of victory on the battlefield. When used strategically, the abilities granted by this Summoner can be a game-changer. I would say that most of my battles when using the Fire Splinters are lead with the CONQUEROR JACEK as the Summoner of choice 😜

According to Splintercards, there are only 26,163 copies of CONQUEROR JACEK printed and they are currently trading at the below prices (at the time of writing) for both the Regular and Goil foil copies! And I still can't believe someone burned a copy of the Gold Foil Legendary 🤑

Rulesets and Abilities Focus

Certain battles highly incentivize the utilization of CONQUEROR JACEK,
particularly when confronted with the following rulesets.

Fog Of War - Monsters lose the Sneak and Snipe abilities

Explosive Weaponry - All Monsters have the Blast ability

Between the two mentioned rulesets, CONQUEROR JACEK's presence is most commonly felt in battles featuring the Fog of War ruleset. In these specific battles, the Scattershot ability granted by CONQUEROR JACEK becomes the primary method for damaging the enemy's backline.

As previously mentioned, the Explosive Weaponry ruleset also pairs effectively with CONQUEROR JACEK. However, when this ruleset isn't active, the Blast ability can be accessed through monsters that naturally possess it. Therefore, Countess Sinash is often found alongside CONQUEROR JACEK in such encounters. Countess Sinash is an incredibly potent monster with a total of five abilities when fully leveled up. Despite having a relatively low health, Countess Sinash's Camouflage ability is a game-changer, allowing the monster to stay hidden in the backline while consistently dealing damage 😝

The Battle

While fulfilling my responsibilities in the Splinterlands scholarship account I have with Balthazar, bltzr-wizard-729, I was able engage in a battle that showcased the impressive capabilities of using the CONQUEROR JACEK. To get right into the action, the battle link can be found here. Otherwise, do read on as I go into more detail regarding the lineup and fight.

To kick things off, let's take a closer look at the rules that shape this battle. It encompasses three significant rulesets. Firstly, the Fog Of War ruleset, which nullifies the Sneak and Snipe abilities for all monsters. Secondly, the Close Range ruleset, enabling Ranged attacks to be utilized in the first position during battles. Lastly, the Explosive Weaponry ruleset, gifting all monsters with the Blast ability. This battle adheres to a mana cap of 46 and permits the use of Fire, Life, and Death Splinters.

Summoner, Conqueror Jacek

Given the presence of the Fog of War and Explosive Weaponry rulesets, my choice of CONQUEROR JACEK as the Summoner became evident. These rulesets restrict the use of Sneak and Snipe abilities, making most Melee monsters less effective unless positioned in the first position. By leveraging CONQUEROR JACEK's +2 Speed boost and Scattershot ability, my strategy aimed to swiftly eliminate the backline of my opponent's team ✌️

First Position, Forgotten One

When it comes to employing the Fire Splinter, I typically favor the Forgotten One as my frontline tank. This monster excels, particularly when confronted by enemy Melee tanks. Its synergy of Retaliate and Piercing abilities enables it to dispatch Melee monsters efficiently, even those with armor. Coupled with its innate high Melee damage and the extra +2 Speed provided by CONQUEROR JACEK, the Forgotten One becomes an undeniable force on the battlefield 😁

Second Position, Molten Ash Golem

I have strategically placed the Molten Ash Golem in the second position of my lineup, primarily to act as a protective barrier against any Blast damage from the enemy's attack. Moreover, the Molten Ash Golem plays a crucial role in applying debuffs to the opponent's team. With its Weaken ability, it reduces the Health of the opponent's monsters by -1, while its Demoralize ability diminishes their Melee attack by -1 🤝

Third Position, Lava Launcher

When deploying the CONQUEROR JACEK, I particularly enjoy teaming it up with the Lava Launcher. The Lava Launcher is a formidable monster boasting 5 Ranged attacks, with sturdy 7 Armor, and has a respectable 6 Health stats. Additionally, it wields the ability to Stun an enemy monster, making it even more devastating when the RNG works in your favor. It's worth noting that the Close Range ability doesn't shine in this battle since the Close Range ruleset is already a part of the matchup 😅

Fourth Position, Venari Marksrat

Since the introduction of the Martyr ability, Venari Marksrat has taken on a pivotal role in my battle strategy. I've placed it strategically between the Lava Launcher and Djinn Inferni, hoping that if it were to be taken down early in the battle, it would grant a significant boost to the adjacent monsters. This calculated move was aimed at bolstering my primary attacking units, providing them with the advantage needed to secure victory in the battle! 🙂

Fifth Position, Djinn Inferni

Djinn Inferni is an immensely potent monster renowned for its extraordinary Magic damage output and remarkable Speed. With the Speed buffs from the lineup, its Speed can reach a maximum of 7 in this battle, enabling it to launch rapid attacks and potentially eliminate the opponent's backline swiftly. This advantage is amplified in the Explosive Weaponry ruleset that is complemented with the Scattershot ability granted by CONQUEROR JACEK. Furthermore, Djinn Inferni boasts the often underestimated Giant Killer ability, allowing it to deal double damage when confronting a target that costs 10 mana or more 💪

Last Position, Supply Runner

Supply Runner is undeniably a favored pick among the Neutral Splinter monsters. I made the choice to incorporate it into my lineup for this battle to optimize my team's Speed. Supply Runner's Swiftness ability played a pivotal role in realizing this objective. Furthermore, the Strengthened ability offered a valuable advantage by bestowing the lineup with a +1 Health boost. This proved particularly beneficial for specific monsters that might have had lower health, ensuring they weren't overly susceptible during the battle 😤

The Analysis

As earlier mentioned in this blog post, Countess Sinash is often paired with CONQUEROR JACEK in battles due to their synergistic abilities. However, I couldn't utilize this combination in the battle because I didn't have a max-level Countess Sinash in my scholarship account. Fortunately, the absence of this monster didn't significantly impact the battle due to the Explosive Weaponry ruleset, which granted all monsters the Blast ability 🤗

A battle snippet to illustrate just how formidable Djinn Inferni's Giant Killer ability can be

When facing rulesets that include both Fog Of War and Explosive Weaponry, choosing CONQUEROR JACEK for the battle is almost a no-brainer. The battle turned out to be a straightforward victory as the enemy's team couldn't withstand the rapid barrage of attacks. Even though the enemy had a strong tanker in Uriel The Purifier and Corsair Bosun with the Reflection Shield ability to mitigate Blast damage, these defenses were rendered ineffective by the Scattershot ability that targeted the backline. The battle concluded swiftly! 😂
