Muy buenas noches amigos. Hoy quise intentar algo diferente para mi entrada al concurso de @Splinterlands, normalmente cuando hago mis Fanart intento ser bastante fiel al diseño de la carta original, pero esta vez elegí un personaje algo diferente, les confieso que no soy muy buena dibujando criaturas o mejor dicho, no lo he intentado, me da bastante miedo que pueda salir mal ya que no es algo común para mi estilo de arte, sin embargo, tenia muchas ganas de recrear esta carta y decidí hacer un cambio adaptándola a mi estilo, convirtiendo a Mushroom Seer en una mujer, intente mantener la esencia del personaje respetando algunos colores y obviamente agregando pequeños hongos y el enorme hongo en la cabeza, no quise dibujar un solo ojo asi que en vez de eso decidí hacer 3 ojos donde el tercero esta ubicado en el centro de la frente, fue un trabajo bastante difícil pero que me encanto, se sintió bastante bien este cambio de personaje adaptándolo un poco mas a mi estilo y a lo que se hacer.

Today I wanted to try something different for my entry to the @Splinterlands contest, usually when I do my Fanart I try to be pretty faithful to the original card design, but this time I chose a somewhat different character, I confess that I am not very good at drawing creatures or rather, I have not tried, I'm quite afraid that it can go wrong since it is not something common for my art style, however, I really wanted to recreate this card and I decided to make a change adapting it to my style, turning Mushroom Seer into a woman, I tried to keep the essence of the character respecting some colors and obviously adding small mushrooms and the huge mushroom on the head, I didn't want to draw a single eye so instead I decided to make 3 eyes where the third one is located in the center of the forehead, it was a quite difficult work but I loved it, it felt quite good this change of character adapting it a little more to my style and to what I know how to do.

Proceso/Process

Hice mi boceto, realmente fue algo complicado, porque no tenia mucha idea de cómo ubicar bien el hongo sobre la cabeza, esto fue casi improvisado y decidí confiar en que se vería bien cuando lo pintara, elegí una paleta de colores bastante pálida, empecé a agregar los colores solidos dejando en claro las luces y sombras, luego añadí una nueva capa donde coloque más colores y después empecé a mezclarlos y a difuminarlos entre sí dejando una textura en la piel más suave, después empecé a pintar la ropa para la cual elegí un color similar a la piel que tiene el hongo en la carta original, luego empecé a pintar el hongo sobre la cabeza usando rojo y un tono gris en la parte interior del hongo.

I made my sketch, it was really complicated, because I had no idea how to place the mushroom on the head, this was almost improvised and I decided to trust that it would look good when I painted it, I chose a pale color palette, I started to add the solid colors leaving the lights and shadows clear, then I added a new layer where I put more colors and then I started to mix and blend them together leaving a smoother texture on the skin, then I started to paint the clothes for which I chose a color similar to the skin that has the mushroom on the original card, I started to paint the mushroom on the head using red and a gray tone on the inside of the mushroom.

Empecé a detallar la ropa, quise pintar una especie de corset en la parte superior debajo del busto, luego añadí sombras y luces a la tela pero sin exagerar, realmente quería algo sencillo, continue pintando el hongo en la cabeza creando algunos pliegues en la parte interior del hongo y asi darle un poco mas de realismo, pinte los detalles en amarillo que tiene el hongo en la carta original y después empecé a pintar los pequeños hongos que están pegados a la piel, por supuesto que faltaba darle algo de luz al dibujo asi que agregue una capa de luces para resaltar los ojos, la boca, nariz y algunos de los pequeños hongos, para el fondo coloque un tono oscuro y un destello con un color naranja detrás de ella.

Para finalizar edite la imagen, sentía que todo se veía bien pero muy apagado, colores muy sombríos y buscaba algo mas colorido, asi que realice un ajuste de color a toda la imagen dando tonalidades más cálidas y más vibrantes, se veía mucho mejor asi.

I started to detail the clothes, I wanted to paint a kind of corset in the upper part below the bust, then I added shadows and lights to the fabric but without exaggerating, I really wanted something simple, I continued painting the mushroom on the head creating some folds in the inner part of the mushroom to give it a little more realism, I painted the details in yellow that the mushroom has in the original card and then I started to paint the small mushrooms that are stuck to the skin, of course I needed to give some light to the drawing so I added a layer of lights to highlight the eyes, mouth, nose and some of the small mushrooms, for the background I placed a dark tone and a flash with an orange color behind it.

Finally I edited the image, I felt that everything looked good but very dull, very dark colors and I was looking for something more colorful, so I made a color adjustment to the whole image giving warmer and more vibrant tones, it looked much better this way.
