[ENG-ESP] Splinterlands Art Contest! // Week 183 - MISCHIEVOUS MERMAID

Hello Summoners, this is my contribution for the Splinterlands Art Contest! // Week 183. This time I bring you a drawing of MISCHIEVOUS MERMAID, a water card with great speed and a good magic attack. Next, I will describe a little the whole creative process.

Hola invocadores, ¡esta es mi contribución para el concurso de arte de Splinterlands! // Semana 183. En esta ocasión les traigo un dibujo de MISCHIEVOUS MERMAID, una carta de agua con mucha velocidad y buen ataque mágico. A continuación, describiré un poco todo el proceso creativo.

The first thing is to make the sketch, which unfortunately at the moment I have to do it with the mouse which makes it a bit difficult for me, the ideal would be to have a graphics tablet. After the sketch I start to work on the shadows, starting with the general shadows and then with the more specific shadows. The next step is similar but with the Lights. I like to do the shadows and lights first because it's easier for me to give volume to the drawing. After the highlights and shadows are done, we can start coloring the drawing. It is best to do it in layers and have a layer for each part of the body.

Lo primero es hacer el boceto, que lamentablemente por el momento tengo que hacerlo con el mouse lo que se me dificulta un poco, lo ideal sería tener una tableta gráfica. Después del boceto empiezo a trabajar las sombras, comenzando con las sombras generales y luego con las sombras más específicas. El siguiente paso es similar pero con las Luces. Me gusta hacer primero las sombras y las luces porque me es más fácil darle volumen al dibujo. Después de que las luces y las sombras estén listas, podemos comenzar a colorear el dibujo. Lo mejor es hacerlo por capas y tener una capa para cada parte del cuerpo.

Finally I werk on the background, this time I wanted the character to appear to be on a seabed, so I used an image and applied a blur effect to it and added some blue tones to the whole thing. Then I added some bubbles to give it a better finish.

Finalmente trabajé en el fondo, esta vez quería que el personaje pareciera estar en el fondo del mar, así que usé una imagen y le apliqué un efecto de desenfoque y le agregué algunos tonos azules a todo el conjunto. Luego añadí algunas burbujas para darle un mejor acabado.
